I too sometimes get a squeal when applying the brakes but mine emanates from the passenger seat when my wife thinks I'm braking too late!

I'm getting around 53mpg in the winter and use normal mode and E10. . I too drive like a vicars wife. Not sure why there's a 10 mpg difference though

I had 4 Skodas before my current UX. 1st was a basic 1.2 Fabia, next was a Fabia Vrs diesel which was a fantastic car, followed by a petrol Vrs which was really quick but used a fair bit of oil. Lastly was a 2017 Yeti with all the extras on it. That was a great car. They still hold their value really well

I've spoken to BT about an engineer not turning up today and was told that an appointment had not been " generated " despite being told last week last week that an engineer would be with us today between 1000 and 1200. I asked about compensation and he said that as no appointment existed , therefore no compensation can be paid.

My moan today is being promised an appointment by BT and yet once again the engineer doesn't turn up. It's so frustrating. Aaaaagh !!

I too choose my space very carefully. Preferably an end space so I get just one car beside me. The ideal car to choose as a car park neighbour is a small Japanese or Korean car as they are usually owned by very sensible, careful older people. Obviously avoid Audis,Bmw's and Range Rovers at all times

Has to be E5 in my motorbikes but E10 in my UX as the car gets a lot more use.

Matt from High Peak Autos has done an interesting video on a rather lovely IS3OO Sportcross which he bought off a viewer

Just got back from Normandy and Brittany after a 2 week trip and we saw 4 Lexus and one was British registered.

Slovenia is beautiful, especially the North including the Julian Alps, the Logar Valley, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. I've been there 3 times on a motorbike but it would also make a great road trip in a car.

Thanks Duggie,that's a possibility

OK but I'm in Strood. I guess Ashford is marginally better than Tun. Wells or Canterbury

Very disappointed this evening to get an email from Lexus saying my local dealer in Maidstone shut 4 days ago. Very terse and not exactly customer focused. It's either Canterbury or Tunbridge Wells now. Not very happy.

I spent 25 minutes this morning on the phone waiting to get through to the service department at my Lexus dealer. I wonder if this is common or did I just pick a busy time ?
-
I don't think think they would lend me the RX without the excess waiver existing so I guess they absorbed the cost.

I had my UX serviced yesterday by the excellent Lexus Maidstone and they provided a courtesy car as requested. Usually I get another UX but yesterday I was given a RX350 for the day. Beautiful car but a little large for me. I've been charged £10 before but strangely enough no mention of it yesterday. One point about the RX is that I'm 5ft 8 and struggled to see all of the head up display as it appears at the bottom of the screen. I wondered if it is adjustable?

Gary, I hope you're as pleased with your UX as I am with mine. Is this your first Lexus ?
My 36yr old nephew has had 2 CT's and an NX and he introduced me to the brand.

I am a fairly recent convert to Lexus and the joy of owning such a fantastic car . Very soon after I got the car I joined this forum which made me aware that Lexus is a very special brand with lovely owners who have all sorts of opinions on cars and everything else but one thing in common is a love and respect for the brand
Condolences to you Sarah, Margaret and all the family.

That could be it, one customer was looking at a UX, the other an NX

My UX was having a software update today so I spent an hour or so waiting in the lounge area of the showroom.
There were 3 pairs of potential customers talking to salespeople and having test drives including 2 couples in their 30's .
In my previous visits to the dealers I've not seen any potential buyers under the age of 50 so I think its nice to see this.

Tesla drastically cutting the price of two models indicates to me that they don't really care about their customers.
Also Tesla related I saw one being loaded onto a recovery truck two days ago.
What's Everyone having for dinner tonight?

We enjoyed a Hairy bikers Chilli con carne with a bottle of Chilean Shiraz after some Punk IPA to celebrate the purchase of a new motorbike
