  1. I received my second 'free of charge' (!) key last week and the car was delivered at the beginning of June '23. I strongly suspect that the sudden arrival of the key was prompted by a request to the dealer as to whether they we're going to arrange it or 'did I need to engage with Lexus CS?'. Whilst I at the dealership I asked about other issues and the responses are below: Locking wheel bolts - 'a design change means they are sourcing new ones. Current versions are not compatible. 'Maybe early new year'. (not sure which year) - no mention of Russia Petrol flap sticking - as others have, I experienced this recently. Apparently 'cars produced after January 2023 ' had the spring fix applied. Mine was produced on 7 March 2023 so 'couldn't be suffering from this issue' (even though it clearly was). Grease applied by service department so we'll wait and see how long that works for. Frozen door handles experienced early December - 'Cars produced after 12 March 2023 had the handle fix applied'. New handles ordered by dealer for fitting in the new year. Just too many poor things on a £60k car, including a sub-optimal app (even the new version which shows the car unlocked even when it's not). I can't believe that a Japanese company who pride themselves on excellence at every level, haven't gone much further to put all this right for customers. The saving grace amongst all this nonsense - its a really fantastic car to drive so it's worth bearing with it.
  2. I've had my letter today for the 2nd key following vehicle delivery in June '23. What wasn't mentioned was that for the Takumi spec cars (NX450h+) the specification I ordered included a 'card key', has anyone received one on those as part of this campaign? I've also not heard anything about the locking wheel bolts which weren't supplied with the car at delivery due to a shortage. Anyone had those either? Thank you
  3. Hi Fraser, this is part of a bigger backlog that's related to parts issues including locking wheel nuts, mud flaps etc. I've heard many excuses but not rules from Europe, unless they mean Lexus Europe? This sounds like waffle from the dealer. My car is likewise in the country and has been for around 36 days (it was only 29 days on a ship from Japan). Similarly, several promised deadlines have come and gone but I believe mine may arrive at the dealer next week. I think the sheer volume of backed up vehicles at Derby has now got to be worked through even though some of the parts issues have been solved. They also need to do all the recall actions of which there are quite a few.
  4. The link below to the Lexus pre-launch press releases for the NX appears to indicate 4 years. So unless anything has been changed I'd assume this is still the case. The one thing that isn't clear is what happens when it runs out. https://media.lexus.co.uk/new-multimedia-system-to-debut-in-the-all-new-lexus-nx/
  5. The wheel nut issue was the quoted cause of the delay and it's apparently now been resolved. If that's accurate, I imagine there's a large backlog which will need to be cleared through. I'm not holding my breath.
  6. My interior is..... black! So I wasn't expecting the glovebox. I'm not sure if the key has any tell tale signs but I'll have a good look.
  7. My NX450h+ Takumi is apparently due at the dealer next week (having been at Derby for almost as long as it was on the water from Japan). It was produced on 7 March so is hopefully MY24, but once I get eyes on it I'll be looking for any signs. The most interesting part for me is the UWB key system. I'll report back once I've taken delivery.
  8. I asked Lexus Customer Relations and they provided the shipping information. Initially they gave me details for a vessel which I could see was headed the wrong way round the globe! Once I pointed this out, they quickly corrected it. Any contact with Lexus CR automatically gets shared with the dealer as far as I can see so they then followed up with the same incorrect and then corrected information. It does seem that it needs a swift and expert exercise in communication and engagement having read the views and feelings from so many members on here. It's almost unbelievable that a Japanese company would leave their customers with so little information and with apparently so little regard for the frustration and brand damage its causing.
  9. It's possible your car was on Dalian Highway which docked at Portbury in the early hours of 13 April. My 450h+ was on board and the app and My Lexus status changed to 'in transit' yesterday. Roughly 2.5-3 weeks for Portbury-Derby-Dealer would get you to 4th May; only a guess though.
  10. Has the dealer offered any explanation or has it been radio silence? Others on here have reported that cars usually take 2-3 weeks from arrival at Portbury to get to the dealer so with Easter it's possible that it's due imminently, but the dealer should be talking to you anyway.
  11. My 450h+ just showed as 'processing order' between 30/6/22 and 7/3/23 and then went to 'build in progress'. Approx 7 days later it changed to 'left the factory'. Those were the only terminologies I saw on the app or website.
  12. My NX 450h+ was completed on 9 March and the information provided by Lexus Customer Relations showed that it is a Model Year 2024 (Specification: NX Plug-In Hybrid MY24). On another thread regarding MY24, the speculation was that production from 2nd March was MY24 but I'm not sure if that's subject to which variant or production site. My car is now on board Dalian Highway having left Toyohashi on 15 March and is due into Portbury on 13 April. (ordered 30 June 2022), so I'm hopeful I will collect it in the first half of May.
  13. That info came from Lexus UK Customer Relations CR@lexus.co.uk its not on the app or website and looked like they'd pasted internal data into the email reply. They seem very helpful
  14. My NX 450h+ Takumi which was ordered on 30 June '22 has just been built last week. It was initially scheduled as March '23 delivery but in line with all NX and particularly Takumi it was delayed until potentially June/July. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's now actually been built and has 'Left the factory' so it should give hope that things are starting to move quicker. I tried to get the vessel name but my dealer was not remotely interested in helping, however Lexus UK customer relations were more forthcoming, although still didn't have the shipping detail but will in a few days. The really good news is that the detail provided did contain one key nugget below.... note the MY24 designation! I know this is covered in another thread, but unless the system descriptions have been updated before the actual production, then MY24 is being produced with the additional security features and some minor interior changes. Likely delivery is May so 10.5/11 months from order. Line off date: 9/03/23 Specification: NX Plug-In Hybrid MY24 - Takumi grade
  15. I have an NX450h+ Takumi on order and hopefully being delivered in June/July. The tow bar option was removed from the options list before I ordered in June 2022 (possibly due to wiring loom availability) but I know from a previous thread that some members on here had been able to order it early on and possibly some had actually received a Derby fitted tow bar. My dealer hasn't got a clue and I recently asked Lexus UK CS who replied ''Upon checking with our internal Product Specialists, we can confirm that unfortunately this model does not come with the detachable tow bar from factory as an optional extra due to the maximum mass of the vehicle'. This doesn't seem to stack up with other members experiences, but wondered if anyone else has enquired or has any insight? I only use the tow bar for a light duty cycle carrier so I'm not trying to tow a caravan or heavy trailer etc. Many thanks in advance for any replies or insight.
