  1. I’ve had an update from our dealer today. They advised that our 350h has gone into production and we should expect delivery September/October.

When looking at the Lexus app, it doesn’t say it’s gone into the build stage which is annoying!

Did anyone else have an issue with the app being slow to update? I want to be able to track its progress!

  2. We have been told our 350h will move into the build stage this month. I therefore thought I’d have a little look on the app to see if there was a change. Well, all that’s happened is the ‘real’ picture of our purchased car has been replaced with a generic picture! Almost like we’ve gone backwards not closer to build!!

    Hi Deb,

My IS300h had Black metallic paint and looked great. My NX350h (due any day now) is the Graphite Black metallic too. I have been offered the ceramic coating protection from my lexus dealer, but unsure as I have never seen a ceramic coated black metallic lexus before.

So, in your opinion,  how different does it look, and what cost / where did you have yours done?

    Michael.

Hi. We have the 300h in graphite black and our 350h will be the same (only difference is we’ve gone for red interior this time)

Think the ceramic coat coat around £700, I’d have to dig out invoice to be exact. My husband washes it it every week and finishes off with some sort of ceramic spray. It ends up looking super shiny! Could be the ceramic spray helping but in my opinion it’s worth it

  4. I have a 2021 NX300h Premium Sport addition (in the UK). This gives the body/wheels of an F Sport but for less money! We got the man made leather also as we find this far more comfortable/soft than the harder real leather seats. Don’t need a glass roof, ours has light coloured roof inside feels very airy.

You just want to make sure the previous owner has looked after the car. Not just serviced by a Lexus as and when required but that they have looked after the car. Check down sides for swirl scratches as this is a tell tell sign they were lazy and put it through car washes! Only hand wash a Lexus!! Check wheels for curb scuffs too as this shows a careless driver.

We are due to take delivery of the NX350h before the end of the year but it’s bitter sweet for us. We have never had such a reliable and comfortable car as the 300h. We’ll miss it 😢

One last thing, try and go for metallic black, it’s literally glittery in the sun! Oh and we had ceramic coat added, that makes it soooo shiny!

I have got finally some more concrete news from the dealer - my 350h got a manufacturing slot in July, arrival to the dealer middle of October.

Ordered early February 22, it means total lead time to take 20 months.

Interesting. We ordered our 350h in September 22 and have also been told ours is on schedule for build in July with delivery to dealership in October. I was also told this may come forward slightly. Interesting how different orders/dealerships are having different lead times

Hopfully your dealer will give you for your 2021 NX near to what they offered when you ordered the new one. After a year they offered me just £1000 less for my 2016 NX. Which about £1500 more than We buy.............

Fingers crossed 🤞 in perfect condition still but miles are going up as I can't stop driving it!!!

You probably should just continue driving your current NX (which sounds great anyway) and try to forget about the delayed delivery.

I sold my "current car" hoping to get my new NX "soon" however I then had to buy a "cheap" car (which is not as easy as it sounds) because of the delayed delivery. It has all been a bit of a pain 🙄

Well we've already done a deal with our local Lexus and our 300h is being part exchanged in that deal. We also placed our order for new NX on 30th September 22, the next day 1st October, the prices went up! When we finally get our new one, we will be saving around £5k on list price so deffo worth us hanging on! Lexus have priced locked from time of order so we are one of the lucky ones 😃

Yes, it is a brand new car through work Salary sacrifice scheme. It also gives £600 free electric charging which means no fuel cost for a year or 6000 miles.

Oh I see. We'd be personal customer so probably wouldn't get such a great deal. I see why you've jumped ship though, if I could get the Tesla for that price I'd be very tempted too! The wait for the NX is painful at this point. The only reason we stick at it, is because we currently own a 2021 NX Premium Sport which is a lovely car so we are happy to drive this until the new one arrives 😀

Same here, ordered in September 22 and no sign of build date yet. I have given up and getting my Tesla Y next week ready for delivery as they have inventory and I will be driving the new car next week. Given the monthly cost savings under salary sacrifice scheme, it is a no brainer to ditch ICE cars and more importantly, compared to electric cars which were all available within 3 month window I must admit Nexus waiting times are looking inexcusable and ridiculous. Who wants to wait for 12-13 months for a car and pay £50k upwards when you can have electric cars for £400 per month no deposit and includes insurance maintenance and tyre replacement!

Blimey, that Tesla deal sounds amazing! And its a brand new car? Did you order the Tesla online?

Deb, don’t get uptight about it.
It may just be that his dealer had a cancellation and the slot was then given to a waiting customer, or perhaps he has one of the bad dealers who delight in telling porkies just to string the customer along by giving them a date which they know cannot be met. It has happened on here a few times in the past.
Either way it’s not worth stressing about. You will love yours so much when it arrives the long wait will be soon forgotten 👍

    True. Thank you 😊

Hardly skipping the queue. Left my name with my dealer and when a slot opened up in March for them to take orders I went in an ordered my car.
I will be surprised if the delivery doesn’t slip.

I l just can't understand this. We ordered a 350h way before you, in September 22 (nearly 10 months wait so far) and our delivery isn't expected until October at earliest. Just doesn't make sense that your being told pretty much same eta for delivery yet only ordered within last couple of months.

Would you mind letting me know which dealer you ordered from?

My first order was placed back end of March 2023
When I changed my order to get the spec I wanted it was placed first week in April 2023 and was estimated for delivery in December. Then got an email from my dealer on the 24th April to say it has came forward a bit to October 2023.
And now I got a email yesterday saying delivery is still looking like September/October.
My updated order had to be put through as a MY24 spec and I ended up paying a bit more than originally planned.

Are you in the UK? If you are, I'm really confused now! According to our salesman, no orders being taken at all for 23. How you have managed to order one so recently and have an estimated delivery of September this year is baffling?! We have been waiting since September 22 with ETA or October 23.

I just cant understand how your seemly skipping the queue?

I originally ordered back in March NX350H with premium pack and the order was placed estimated delivery was going to December.
Got a email in April to say delivery has been brought forward to October.
I asked if I could change the spec on my car because when I went on Lexus website it let you select the following option, NX350H AWD, with premier pack and Lexus Link Pro and was only going to be an extra £1000 but when they tried to change the order there system it wasn’t  letting them put in the configuration as there website.
in the end I had to cancel my order and place a new one, but to get the 14” display and Lexus link pro I had to change to MY24 spec and order with electric front seats.

I'm confused? Did you order in March of this year? If so, how are you getting your vehicle so quickly? We ordered NX350H Premium pack with Lexus link pro and Electric seats back in September 22. Our delivery is now pushed back to October this year at earliest?

    Ordered on 24/04/23,

Just got the following email from my dealer

Just a quick delivery update for you. Unfortunately, our tracking system is having a bit of a meltdown but from what I can see, it looks like we're still on track for September / October. I will let you know how things progress and if this is to change.

Let’s hope it doesn’t change too much, looking forward my new car

You surely aren't in the UK? If so, how have you managed you get such a quick delivery? Our salesman told us no orders for NX at all in UK for 2023?

Gary, this is my car as it arrived at the dealership, straight off the transporter, with the number plate on and still with the various protective covers, the car was actually registered with DVLA a few days later !

not sure if dealership tell Derby the reg, or if Derby pick it - as all reg numbers are regional ?  But either way it arrives with number plate on

When we picked up our current NX300H in September 21, we got to choose our number plate from a selection

must have been annoying. Did they charge you an arm and a leg or was it market pricing, do you do high miles. Ours has only done around 8k miles and it turns 3 in september.

Very annoying. Considering it was the cars first major service 🙄 and that was costing nearly £600 already. We don't do excessively high miles (I don't think) it's now done 23k and it was registered 29th September 21. More than average maybe but not excessive? Not sure how you have only covered 8k in nearly 3 years??

Anyway, decided to just to let them do the tyres as it was already in and easier than searching ourselves! (Plus it was a Friday late afternoon and we were already in (paid for) courtesy car which happened to be NX350H Takumi and we got to keep it the weekend!!) I think each tyre cost about £125, which seemed reasonable? Slightly annoyed that they then charged us another £70 for tracking as well! When questioned about the two with holes down to the wire, they said potholes were likely to have caused them! We don't drive on anything other than roads so maybe some truth in this? Hope its not a reflection on the quality of the yokahama tyres.....

Anyhow, pleased got it sorted as mpg gone up since and car drives smooth and refined (as always).

Will be sad to see it go when our new NX350H finally arrives 😢

Hi all, my nx has 18 inch wheels, was wondering what tyres you bought (non-budget) that gave a good mix of efficiency and handling, and did you notice an mpg increase over the standard yokohoma which comes with the car. How many miles did your tyres last you. i have also noticed my nx does not show tyre air pressure does your, or is it in a sub menu. Thanks in advance!

And yes, just before put in for service (like day before) the tyre pressure warning light came on)

  18. We had our 2021 NX put in for service at beginning of the year and it turned out it needed 3 new tyres! (One had nail in non repairable spot, the other two had holes down to wire??) Anyway, as in for a service, I agreed for Lexus to replace the 3. We went for same as it came with, 3 x yokahama's. Plus the tracking got corrected.

Since then, the mpg has been back up to over 40mpg every trip.

I think yokahama are just fine. Car is, as always had been, smooth and refined (but now with better mpg again 😆)
