  1. I was wondering if its interchangable after reading your post. It seems the facelift version has an extra connector for the clock. The facelift version doesnt have the minute/hour adjustment next to the clock. Probably some software adjustment in the infotainment menu. So my uninformed answer would be; climate controls might work. Clock not.
  2. I changed the original summer wheels for a set of RX400 rims i refurbished. Offcourse the car doesnt recognize these so i just taped of the warning light from tpms. But... with the original rims i did not get a reading even after waiting several minutes. (there is no error reading with these installed) I see the battery info screen, then 2 black screens, and then the gas/mileage screen. Could this have been programmed out due to some error?
  3. That is a great gadget i didn't know existed! 0.5A is just not cutting it. I guess i'm going to have to do some wiring Would it be easiest to route along the left side door sils, or is there an easier connection somewhere in the dash?
  4. Hi, Ever since I bought my '16 luxuxry line nx300h a few months back, this has been bugging me. I have a 12v/230v inverter that I plug in to the 12V in the middel arm rest. But it keeps shutting down after 10 to 20 seconds. I never experienced this in my last car (mits. Outlander '15). also the one usb port barely charges my phone. using the extra usb port on the inverter works okayish. I installed an aftermarket usb c usb a socket to the right of te (LHD) steering wheel. I tapped in to tthe footwell lighting LED for power. That also seems very underpowered and when in use dims the footwell led's a little. In between clients I like to charge my laptop through the inverter. that charger is rated at about 40 watt which would boil down to about 3,3A draw from the 12V socket. Even just just the samsung fastcharger in the inverter, will make it shut off. It just feels like by design the factory outlets and other circuitry are very low current. Somewhat easy solution would be installing heavier gauge wiring straight from the battery with an extra inline fuse, but I like the idea of the car shutting down auxiliary stuff at low battery which offcourse wouldn't be the case with a direct feed. Has anyone experienced the same problem with Lexus and found a solution? I can live with the outdated multimedia system as a trade of to the beautiful in and exterior design, but the lack of charging power is unbecoming.
  5. Oh man! I'm so happy! I just put fabric tape on the striker....and ..the sound,....it's....GONE! Last nuisance was the rear cup holder. When opened, no problem, when closed; rattle. Removed rubber cap above philips head screws at the bottom of the cup holder. Unscrewed and removed cup holder. If you look at the back, you'll see that the chrome release button makes another plastic part pivot just a little to release the lid. That part is loose, I wedged a little fabric tape on both sides and also put some front and rear of the chrome button. Now that too is silenced. I will sleep like a baby tonight
  6. Today I did soundproofing on the NX300h which meant taking everything out of the back. If you ever want to check up on the fans of the nx, it's reasonably easy to do.(for models without a spare tire) Remove floorboard Remove left and right trays Remove the rear plastic boxes they're connected at 60/40. Two philips head screws far right and left. Undo the plastic rivets that hold the backseat fabric to the 2 boxes, they may need replacing. You now have a clear view on the fans. Wiggle the inlet hoses from the fan. Peer in there to check build-up of dust. If you must clean them; they're held down with 3 10mm nuts each.
  7. The striker, unfamiliar with that, I'm not a native speaker. Please elaborate. Today I put some extra sound deadening and insulation in the doors and completely took apart the rear end and tailgate trim to do the same there. I put cloth tape (for wiring harnesses) between panels that touch eachother. Also gave me a chance to check hybrid cooling fans for dust build up, very clean after 6 years. The car was already quiet so not an enormous upgrade, but the creaking became less audible, but still there! #%^^$$! If by the striker you mean the latch and metal ring it closes around. I did nothing to them. How do they tighten it? And did they just put that fabric tape around the metal catch ring? Worth a try.
  8. Your recording sounds pretty much the same as my NX300h 2016. I've had it for 3 weeks and love it...except for the creaking sounds in the back. Sounds mechanical and is sometimes sounding together with control arms over speed bumps. Primarily seems to happen from side to side warping of the car body. I feel it originates somewhere between hatch and tailgate. There are no signs of panels rubbing against eachother, i silicon sprayed the door rubbers. Moved all the clutter from the hidden storage hole (no spare tire, just a repair kit). Pushed and wiggled evere panel in the back, shook the car side tot side, pushed down on the tailgate....no creak, squeak or moan. I cut of the lip of the rubber floormat so it wouldn't touch the hatch trim, i screwed it down so it wouldnt slowly creap up against it during a drive. The mat has been excused as a suspect. cargo in the hidden storage too. Still... every time; it might start to creak from the start, or when i drive back home from work. It doesn't seem to be temperature or humidity related. I guess i am going to have to unscrew all of the trim and buy some felt tape. I can live with the occasional squeak and creak form the suspension when taking a speed bump too fast, but this creaking is too much for me. Kind of sounds like there's a huge amount of torsion in the tail gate and one or two body panels havent been welded together.
