  1. Thanks for all your help everyone. Had to resort to drilling it out in the end. What a faff!
  2. Thanks Hillie, some great tips there. Rubber band doesn't work. The screw thread hole is so small that the right size screwdriver just pierces through the band.
  3. Thanks NemesisUK, the screw is miniscule, there is simply no room to file a slot and I'm worried the superglue would get stuck to the surrounds and end up breaking that.
  4. Anybody got any tips as how to remove a (very small) screw from the transponder of my remote, to enable me to change the battery. One screw came out perfectly, but the other has no grip on the crosshead - I think the garage who installed the last battery has completely 'mashed' it and now there's nothing to grip against to turn it. I have tried dripping a very small amount of WD40 in the area so as to make the screw less tight, but there literally is nothing I can get any purchase on to remove the screw. Any tips out there, please?
  5. There is CCTV apparently, put in place by British Transport Police. But when I reported the crime to the BTP and got a crime number, they replied saying they would not take the matter further even though I had pointed out there was CCTV there which they had installed!!
  6. Great idea about speaking to the breakers about the whole strip. It's light grey, I guess there was only one shade of light grey on a 2009 RX400h? Anyone know, please?
  7. Unfortunately when there isn't a third party to lay the blame on (i.e. the culprits haven't been identified) then it's classed as a 'fault' claim. Not fair, but that's how the insurance companies work.
  8. Hi I've had a quote from Lexus to replace this bent part of the door trim on my RX400h 2009, and it was £160! It’s a cosmetic trim that goes in the front driver-side door sill. I've tried a breakers yards but as the metal piece is fairly flimsy I have concerns they wouldn't get it off the car they're breaking without bending the part. The second image is the (horribly) bent bit, that I need replaced. The first image is where it goes on the sill. The third image is what it should look like (this is a photo of the passenger side). Anyone got any ideas where I could get this, please? Thanks in advance.
  9. Just had the cat stolen on my RX400h. Takes 30 seconds apparently. I've now had a cat lock fitted at £400. Hoping it deters them. Fingers crossed they don't come back. Won't park in station car park anymore because of that.
