  1. Ive just read the editorial about the kit. It mentions al sorts of nice things like kevlar this and aluminium that, but it strikes me that the bend in the intake pipe is far too tight. It could be the angle of the photo, but I would beware of this one.

The air filter seen in the pic look a bit cheap aswell in my personal opinion. The yellow filter you get with the trust/greddy kit is ugly I know but has very good flow and filtration statistics.

The trust/greddy one has a more subtle, sweeping intake which is better for airflow than sharp angles of any sort.

  2. Its not a mug Zee, its what is left of my Christmas Scented Candle - It smells of Mince Pies when its lit :P

Yes Im having the wheels done too. The 18" Mania Vermont wheel spokes are to be painted in Granite Sky and again lacquered with metalflake, and the rims will be polished to a mirror finish.

  3. Well, here is the finished Charger. Polished nicely on the top half and the bottom has been painted in Granite Sky and a heavy metalflake lacquer. I sorted the problem with the plastic cover. I was going to have an aluminium one made, but it turns out that its actually not just a cover and forms the main element to drive the pulley. The pulley is actually a shear-coupling, so if the charger ceases, the centre drive will shear from the plastic cover to minimise damage.

With this in mind, I had to just make do with a nice design for the front cover along similar lines to the main body grafix. It will have to do.

The wheels have now gone to be polished and painted and the body kit has also gone for prep and paint. The car comes off the road early next week so we can begin the major work of replacing everything......

  4. Yep, its total garbage. All it is is a simple resister which gives a richer mixture, and you will cause irreversible damage if used all the time. Dont do it for goodness sake. They work well on something old like a Ford V6 Cologne 2.8i with the Bosch K-Jetronic Fuel Injection but not on something complex like ours.

Leave it alone. Like Zee Says - Have a Macky-D instead :winky:

  5. Im having the full Varad system including underside and engine bay Neon Wire, and possibly also some LED attached to the CO2 Purge Sprays to make the CO2 Cloud glow and also a Strobe mounted to beam through the Carbon Bonnet Vents and reflect off the polished parts. In theory, she should look very nice ! :D

  6. hi pete,

if u mean the flimsy black plastic cover then its ok to remove it, nothing behind  there except the retaining bolt for the SC drive pulley - no oil etc (only oil is in the front of the main unit)

    Thanks Fluff ! :winky:

  7. I ordered and promptly paid for a IS200 Manifold complete with de-cats from a company called Wyeside Service Garage, Address: Unit C/Lower Lydbrook Ind Est, Lower Lydbrook, Lydbrook, GL17 9NA Telephone: 01594 860001

I paid £90.00 for it on 9th december and was promised 48 hour delivery through Interlink.

To date I have no manifold, and he keeps saying he would get back to me with a consignment number..........which he hasnt.

The final straw came today when I spoke to them twice requesting the consignment number but to no avail. Now the phones are not being answered. i spoke with Interlink who cant help me out without the number, but Interlink Hull (my local depot) has searched manually and says there is nothing there for me !

I wonder if there is anyone on this site who lives close by that could do me a favour and pop in to them and have a word to find out what is happening. I would willingly pay someone for going in and seeing them !

The way I feel right now, I could easily jump in my car and drive down myself, however the result of this would mean me ending up behind bars for christmas.

DO NOT USE THESE BREAKERS FOR ANYTHING - POOREST SERVICE IN THE UNIVERSE

  8. Ive just witnessed a TWOCer in a new Scooby STi take out an old bloke in a Granada, then hit a bollard, take it out, then hit a lamp post and take that out to, then the car he nivked car bursting into flames.........then he ran off ! All this happened right outside my office, as I was on the phone to a customer and looking out of the window ! My mate who also saw it outside says he must have been doing a ton easy !

Heres a Pic of the devastation. The police havent caught the idiot yet, how he got out of this in one piece is a mystery.

It certainly brings it home about making sure we have adequate security fitted our cars.

  9. I think the best one I ever did was on a good mate of mine. We were working on a site fitting a couple of Gas Turbines, and he had a mega bad cold and he was always sniffing on one of those Vicks torpedo things that you stick up your snitch. Well, it came to lunch break and he left it on the table while he went to the loo. I took out the insert and replaced it with Tomato Sauce :o

Well, you should have seen his face when he snorted on it.......It was a classic moment, and it cleared his cold for the rest of the day !
