    Sorry if it sounds like the first line to a cheesy joke,but I am stumped. I have tried from the outside by prising the lamp holder out but no luck. I was then told by a mechanic friend that I should be able to access it from inside the boot lid. I have removed the little "press stud" type clips and two small nuts either side of the boot lock cover but no luck still can't gain access. Looks like I need to remove the two bolts holding the boot lock in place which I don't fancy doing. Must be an easier way? Any assistance most welcome.

    Hi Does anyone know of a competent auto electronic engineer in the Middlesex area,capable of repairing my central locking module? It no longer responds to lock unlock commands and i have had it reset by the my main dealer several times. lexus want silly money to replace it. Any ideas would be welcome. it's no longer under warranty. Thanks

    I have exactly the same problem at the moment. The only way i have resolved it in the past, is to take my car to my local dealer, where the keys are re programmed. It's a fairly straight forward procedure which takes about 2 mins per key, (remeber to take all your keys with you) If that fails,the on board memory has to be cleared of all previous codes,in the workshop. Had it done three times so far in 2.6 years. it's annoying,but a new control box outside of warranty is a killer. Hope this helps
