  1. Had the same problem as Gaazzared with the map update massage on my NX4050 since I took delivery in August 23. Just collected it from the dealer for the third time of trying to correct it and after having the vehicle two days, exactly the same, they don't seem to have a clue. I agree that if I am on the latest version, it should say so not produce an error message. I am now waiting a response from Lexus.
  2. Just had the tow bar fitted and I did wonder, but the kick sensor still works. We thought it was just a gimmick but find it surprisingly useful. Still wondering why the vehicle took 12 months to arrive but the towbar took 15 months!
  3. I had a similar problem with my NX450. The seat limits had not been set. To set these I turned on the power without touching the brake pedal then moved the seats all the way forward to the end stop and then all the way back. After that all memory functions worked fine. Dosn't mention this in my user guide.
  4. My dealer dropped off a full 3 part manual and a service booklet in a wallet last week just a few weeks after delivery. Also now have it in writing from Lexus that in the event of the wheels being stolen before the locking nuts are fitted they will cover the full cost of replacement wheels and tyres, happier now just wish I had the second key. Fantastic car, worth the wait and still learning all about it.
  5. Manuals in pdf form are a waste of time and I am not prepared to print 1000 plus pages, I'll wait untill a proper one arrives.
  6. This week, exactly 1 year after the original order I finally took delivery of my NX450h+ Takumi, Body colour Sonic titanium trim Black and rich cream leather and wood. My enthusiasm is only slightly muted by the missing locking wheel nuts, second key, owner’s manual and tow bar electrics, all on back order. One problem which despite reading the e-manual numerous times has been driving me mad all week was that the seat memory position would not remember. However, a knowledgeable chap from Brussels on another forum offered a solution. It would seem that my dealer had not set the seat end limits. For anyone else who may encounter this problem the solution is simple, 1) With car in P, seat belt off, turn on the electronics by pushing the start button twice without your foot on the brake. 2) Move the seat all way forward to its limit then all the way back. Although I don’t think this bit was necessary, I also moved the seat up and down to its limits and then the back forwards and backwards to its limits. 3) Set the seat and enter positional information as per instructions and all worked fine after hours of frustration. I hope this is of use to someone. Apart from what are minor hiccups this is a fantastic car, looks and drives like a dream, well worth the wait and now glad I didn’t switch back to BMW, Merc or JLR.
  7. If that was all that was missing you were lucky my car arrived at the dealers this week and I viewed it today, no locking wheel nuts, no second key, no tow bar and no dashcam, all on back order. Not to mention no operational manual or service booklet which is an optional extra!!!! I don’t think so, I'll keep you informed.
  8. Finally, my car has arrived at the dealers, I viewed it today and hopefully collect next week. Absolutely brilliant except the enthusiasm was somewhat muted by missing bits. No locking wheel nuts, no second key, no tow bar and no dashcam all on back order. Not to mention no operational manual or service booklet which is an optional extra!!!! I don’t think so, I don’t spend £60k on a new car and not have a folder with manual supplied. Let’s just say the dealer is aware of my dissatisfaction, I’ll keep you informed.
  9. To put it very politely my dealer was less than helpful when I asked for details of the vessel my vehicle was on. Having researched vehicle carrier arrivals at Portbury and departures from Nagoya I am now fairly confident of the vessel name and that it is now in the Arabian Sea to arrive in Portbury 2nd week of July, probably the same boat as Bill's is on. Hopefully I will take delivery of my new toy sometime in August, 13 months after the order.
  10. After three weeks showing 'Build in progress' I now have a vehicle 'Left the factory'. Currently waiting for my dealer to find out the name of the vessel it is on so that I can track it, Dalian Highway left Japan last week so hope it may be on that one. Delivery still being advised as end of July/early August so keeping my fingers crossed
  11. The email from the dealer and the Lexus app seem perfectly in sync. The app showing build in progress.
  12. Today I finally received the email that I had been waiting for from my Lexus dealer to say that my RX4540h Takumi was finally in build. It’s now 10 months since the order and two months since the original delivery date, really looking forward to its arrival and hope I will not be disappointed. Althoiugh nothing the dealer could do about the delay they did contact me each month to say 'no news yet'.
  13. Had an update from my dealer today. NX450h Takumi ordered 29th July 2022 scheduled for delivery 30th March 2023 will now go to build between June and August for delivery 4 months later. I am sure it will be worth the wait. Just need to stay calm!!!
  14. Regarding delivery delay, I am becoming more disillusioned as time goes on. Ordered NX450 Takumi July 2022 and was given delivery date of March 2023. The vehicle is not yet in build so there is no way it will arrive in March, realistically I would think July delivery is more likely. No updates from the dealer and I am now considering cancelling and going to another manufacturer all of whom have production problems but not to this extent.
