  1. I assume you went back to BMW Carlisle after obtaining that info?
  2. I can read Radiohead\OK Computer\Paranoid Android as easily and safely as locations on the satnav or consumption\efficiency info so it's hardly a safety issue. What I don't want to see is Radiohead\OK Computer\Para.
  3. On numerous DAB radio stations I'm unable to read\access the full artist\track info as there's no scroll\auto-scroll facility. There's a bar present which gives the impression that you should be able to scroll right to get to the missing information but this doesn't work. Some DAB stations display the data in a more readable format where separate lines are used but the majority stick all info on a single unreadable line. Any ideas?
  4. I've noticed on occasion that if the CVT system has been whining away, when ascending a steep hill for example, that a burning smell can be present when exiting the car. Is this normal?
  5. If anyone steals my car I don't want it back. They can ship it off to wherever.
  6. Hooray! - It's insurance renewal time. Last year - £407. This year - £693. I thought I'd try NFU as I've heard good things about it - £1600! Are NXs being stolen left, right and centre? Have repair costs increased dramatically?
  7. Every one of my numerous cars have had two fog and reversing lights. I didn't even know that the NX only had one of each. Not sure it bothers me TBH.
  8. Hi, the indicated tyre pressure setting for mu NX450h is set to 2.3 for both front and rear tyres. Is this a factory setting or can it be adjusted?
  9. it's not a safety system as I never changed lane or got close to doing so. It was a bizarre combination of the car travelling quickly over a camber in the road then being hit by the rush of air from a truck.
  10. Whilst driving down a dual carriageway a few weeks back the combination of road camber and a passing articulated truck resulted in my NX450+ experiencing something similar to that of a sudden strong wind hit to the side. This movement made me feel slightly queasy for a short period. Since this I've felt that the car feels slightly 'bouncy' and doesn't appear to be as planted as it once was. I've checked tyre pressures just in case one of the UK's many thousands of potholes that had an affect but all looks OK from that front. The car is in for its first service in a few weeks so will mention this to Lexus but could the incident a few weeks back have affected my suspension in some way?
  11. My insurance is up next month. If it goes beyond £700 I'll look at getting rid of the car as I can't see the insurance situation changing anytime soon. Any savings I intended to make with regards to ongoing costs will slowly evaporate. My wife has just exchanged her PHEV for something far less green and more sporty and is now enjoying far cheaper insurance. The whole car market is complete madness with any incentive to go 'green' being kicked into the long grass.
  12. My phone doesn't fit in the charging area when a USB cable fitted so it's bit messy. I'll look at the options.
  13. I prefer the native Lexus interface to Android Auto TBH but AA does allow me to use Tidal and Samsung Music. If only I didn't need the blasted cable!
  14. Until the weekend I'd always used a USB stick for my music store in my NX450h and all worked fine but having just bought a new Samsung mobile with oodles of storage I decided to use the phone as the music store. One of the main reasons for doing this was to free up the USB data connector for Android Auto if ever needed. One difference that became instantly apparent is that the interface presented is slightly different than that when using music sourced from USB. The interface using the USB displayed an A-Z quick list option on the far right of the screen which, although too small and a bit of a pain to touch on, gave me the option of quickly moving to artists\albums\tracks beginning with a certain letter. This option isn't present when music is sourced from the Samsung phone so if I want to choose music from say, ZZ Top, I have to scroll through every artist entry from A to Z. This takes an age. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it linked to the phone model or is it the same for all phones? Is there a workaround?
