Good Evening All. Lexus are a car company they make and sell cars. Last February My AMG Mercedes E43 was stolen. The car was equipped with Scorpion S5 Tracker Immobiliser. The tracker was working for two days post theft. The police did not attend so the car was not recovered. My Insurance paid out and I brought a Lexus RX. I have previously owned an IS 220 and a GS 250. It was my experience with these that influenced my choice of car. I had no idea of the theft problem. My insurance doubled. I then start looking on this forum. I discover why my insurance was so high. Too late I own the car. As I stated Lexus Make & sell cars. While I agree they must bear some responsibility for the venerability of my car. They have fitted the protection plates by the way. I think the Police must also take a large part of the responsibility. Even when they are being told where a stolen car is THEY DONT EVEN ATTEND. Car thief's can go about there business for the most part unmolested by the Police. For me it is quite simple. If you see a Lexus driving at night with the nearside head light not working. IT HAS BEEN STOLEN. What are the Police doing?

My Insurance is up for renewal on the 17th of March .I tried Adrian Flux. Waste of time quote was over £10K Co compare were around £3K

I do have a Thatcham class 1 Immobiliser fitted

I have just received a quote for insurance from Go compare £3057.53 I am 59 Living in London with 10 years no claims or convictions

My Insurer was Flow. They are part of LV

We’ve included proof of your no claim discount to help you arrange a policy with another insurer. Your cover will end on 16 March 2024 at 23:59 and you'll no longer be insured with us. This e-mail replaces any previous quotes we may have sent you.

I completely agree with Larryadler. My Mercedes AMG E43 was stolen last February. I had a Scorpion S5 fitted as per insurance requirement. The tracker was active for two days after the car was stolen. The Police DID NOT ATTEND! The tracker company will only inform the police of the car location.

I don't know for sure how it was stolen. It was never investigated. It seems they may have lifted the car. There were marks on my drive. I wont go in to the security I have on the RX. I don't want to tempt fate. Or challenge to Scrotes

On the 14th of February My Mercedes AMG E43 was stolen. It was fitted with a Scorpion S5, tracker Immobiliser. The tracker was showing it was in Newham ( Not far from Ilford)for two days. The Police did not attend. That is how serious the Police take car theft in this part of greater London. Hence I am now the owner of a Lexus RX450

My RX had the plates fitted today at Woodford. Free of charge. I cannot fault the service. After 4 years suffering Mercedes aftercare it was a pleasure to go back to Lexus
