  1. A car charger will complete a full charge for the 450h+ in circa 2.5 hours. I have a Zappi charger and moved my electricity supplier to Octopus as they have a tariff from 11:30pm to 05:30am at 7.5p. the Day rate is standard. All other electrical house items will benefit from this rate too. I let Octopus control the charging schedule and not either the car or the Zappi so it's really easy. The 3 pin standard charger provided will take several hours. I only plugged it in once to make sure it worked then put it away in the garage. We also have solar panels but at 7.5p it makes sense to use Octopus and use the solar for everything else. Hope this helps.
  2. Yes you're right. My NX MY 2024 450h+ Takumi came with Bridgestone Alenza Runflats on 20" wheels. I think they're far noisier than they should be, probably due to a stiffer carcass. Whilst running in electric mode it's the only noise you hear as the car itself is very quiet. Having said that I've only done just over 5,000 miles so will wait for the Alenzas to wear out. Favourites for replacement will be Michelin Cross Climate 2's. I'll need to buy an electric pump and repair kit I guess. Not sure about the tyre valves so I am researching for issues. P.S. After 6 months waiting my car is actually in at Lexus today having the second key fob programmed and second attempt to fix the fuel flap issue, but the wheel bolts are still o/s. Some progress I guess though🙄☺️
  3. 03/01/24 I called dealer to book my car in for remedial work on the fuel flap issue. The first corrective attempt has not worked. They also advised me that the second key fob has arrived and will also issued to me.
  4. Use the emergency key (press the small catch and release key) open the door and the alarm will go off. Hold key fob to the main Power button. It should stop alarm and also enable the engine. Hope that works.
  5. Perhaps you'd be better off with an Android phone😄😊 (only joking)😄
  6. Thanks for the tip. It was booked into Lexus today to sort out a few other "dealer only" software customisable things. My kick sensor wasn't working properly, probably because they'd fitted my tow bar ( factory were meant to have done it but didn't) and the sensor I presume needed adjusting. However, they explained I need to kick on the left-hand side of centre as the tow bar mechanism obscures part of the beam. I didn't know you can also kick close the boot too. It works fine now - every time. Other changes done today successfully are the rear hatch can now be opened and closed from the remote fob without first having to unlock the whole car. The remote fob can now also remotely open/close the moon roof and all the windows by holding the fob button open/close. The "Welcome Home" facility was explained to me as I couldn't find a reference to it in the manual. After turning off the car power button and you want to illuminate your path to the front door or wherever, you simply pull the headlamp stalk towards you, exit and lock it. The main headlamps will stay on for 30 seconds.
  7. I have a Takumi NX 450h+ with Lexus towbar fitted. It's only used with a very small trailer to take stuff down to the tip. We also have a bike rack for x2 electric bikes and it's perfect. Lexus cars in general seem not to be viable tow cars and I wouldn't have bought one if I owned a caravan. The nose weight limit is tiny compared to my old Audi Q5.
  8. I have several films and my large collection of recorded music cd's all in nice folders which seemed to have been done automatically as I didn't do it. I guess it must be the way Rufus organises itself? Anyway, whatever it just works brilliantly now thanks to Hillie.😊👍
  9. Hi again Hillie, Just letting you know whilst I have ordered a 64gb drive from Amazon, I thought in the meantime I'd download Rufus, latest version 4.2, which now has an option to format in Large fat32. I decided to reformat my large 512gb drive and can confirm it works, so your comment about Lexus "cutting & pasting" from previous manuals would seem to be correct as their supplied data is now incorrect. I have movies in .MP4 and audio in .WMA formats running and as you say, the screen quality is excellent. I'll also try the film you recommended Ronal the Barbarian! Thanks very much once again. Colin
  10. Hi Hillie, That is incredibly useful information, thank you so much! I called in today to Lexus about some other things and they said just plug a flash drive in and it should work🤷🙄. I was going to buy a 32gb drive but in view of your post I'll go for a 64gb and follow your instructions. Many thanks indeed.
  11. .....I forgot to add, and no CD drive or Hard drive fitted either. So what if you don't want to listen to the radio or you haven't got paid subscriptions to either Deezer or Spotify streaming on your phone?
  12. Thanks Hillie, that's really useful info. I do recall reading that when I first had the car but didn't subsequently think too much about it. Disappointed that Lexus have thought it ok to deliver a 2024 model car with such a puny and ancient specification for the USB drive!🤷😬 My question really is though, is your USB option greyed out or not? Irrespective of the drive size if it can't see the drive it won't be able to read it I guess?
  13. ...you're quite right Paul, hence my reluctance to try it🙈😬
  14. That's odd that some owners say not working and others say it does. I have an NX 450h+ Takumi (delivered Mid July 2023 and it's all set up with remote parking. I've pressed the option to engage it and it then says to exit the car and control from my phone via the app I downloaded. I haven't plucked up the courage to try it yet, but I might now you've aroused my curiosity 🙈🙉
  15. I can't get my USB flash drive to work for playing music or video files. I realised that the option to "Select Source" is greyed out. Does anyone have a similar issue or does it work for you.

  17. Many thanks for the tips! I'll give them a go when this rain stops! I know it won't work when the Lexus tow bar hitch is inserted but I can't get it working at all. Just beeps at me😬
  18. Hi JP, I don't have an iPhone - I'm an android man. Mine works fine so I wonder if you've not set up your phone in the Settings - "Personal Info" as the Main Devices i.e. linked so your phone will always then be the primary device and it will then remember it as such. The Bluetooth option you are going to is for adding additional devices so I don't think you need to do this for your phone. If you do it your way by going straight to the Bluetooth option it's probably just seeing a new phone every time you get in and turn on the car? Have you connected your car to the Lexus link App too?
  19. I'm having an issue with the kick sensor. It beeps twice when I try and use it but nothing happens so I tried using the new Google AI search to see what it might suggest - here's what it said - There are a few possible reasons why the Lexus NX 450h+ UK 2024 model rear kick sensor might beep twice but fail to open: The sensor is not aligned properly. This could happen if the sensor has been bumped or knocked out of alignment. To fix this, you can try to realign the sensor yourself or take it to a Lexus dealership to have it done for you. The sensor is dirty or obstructed. If the sensor is dirty or obstructed, it will not be able to detect your foot. To fix this, you can clean the sensor with a damp cloth or remove any obstructions from the area. The sensor is defective. If the sensor is defective, it will need to be replaced. You can take it to a Lexus dealership to have it diagnosed and replaced if necessary. Here are some additional things you can try: Make sure that the kick sensor is enabled. You can check this in the car's settings menu. Try kicking the sensor harder. If you are not kicking the sensor hard enough, it may not detect your foot. Try kicking the sensor from a different angle. If you are kicking the sensor from the wrong angle, it may not detect your foot. If you have tried all of these things and the kick sensor is still not working, you will need to take your car to a Lexus dealership to have it diagnosed and repaired.
  20. Unfortunately I watched a video on YouTube whereby the "thieves" drilled off the lock in less than 30 seconds!😳. The other thing I'd worry about is where do you store it when actually driving the car? If it's loose inside the car and you have to brake sharply or worse have an accident, it's likely to cause serious personal injury? I guess you'd have to remove it and store it in the boot every time you want to use it? Not for me, but I'm not sure what the alternative is either🤔😳
  21. I downloaded NaviBridge app as per the Lexus MultiMedia manual but I can't get it to connect to my phone via BTooth🤔🙄
  22. I can't get it to work either - same as you, I'll ask the dealer when I go in next week. And chase them up for an update on my missing key fob and wheel bolts😬
  23. Thanks. It's working ok now. Must have been the Lexus server?👍
  24. I've been using the new version of the Link+ App which was fine until a couple of days ago. It now says all the doors are unlocked - which they're not. If I refresh the screen it then confirms they're all locked - apart from the Rear Hatch - but it is! Anyone else having this issue?
