  1. Try this. That's only for B2289,but if you need more i can get screenshots for the rest of fault codes.
  2. Thank You It might be me that's the problem ,i admit ,but i cant stand when panels in cars rattles around ,one of the reasons i don't drive 1999 dacia 😁. I don't expect complete silence as car panels are not welded to the body ,so obviously they can make sounds at some point. It's just the fact ,that i owned a quite few cars over the years so i have something to compare it to. About 7 years ago i had 06 GS3 that was bad on rattles (rattles were the reason why i got rid of it and bought merc) but after reading the forums ,people were saying that they did improved things with facelift. Fair enough ,ditched merc and bought latest facelift GS3. Man how wrong i was. I'm not even talking about potholes, if road is not like glass-better turn up the audio up to eleven. Something rattles in rear parcel shelf, funny noises from passenger B pillar area, drivers door card seems to be unhappy about something ,dash squeaks somewhere in the middle, rubbing noises from knee level area ,some funny sounds in glove box area. And that's just simply driving down the streets ,if you hit the pothole ,you get a feeling that you are in stainless steel bucket filled with loose bolts. And that's on 54k miles car. (40k when i bought it)
  3. Question for people that went from 3GS to 4GS or 3GS to 3IS. How's the rattles inside? Did they managed to do something about it in later models or its the same as 3GS? I'm on my second 3GS and at this point i've had enough of chirping ,rattling ,clunking sounds all around the cabin, especially dash area. Looking to PX on a newer model ,although after experiences with 3GS,i have my doubts and seriously thinking about returning back to mercs. Any opinions are welcome

B2621 - STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: B2621: Communication Interruption B2621 - Communication Interruption DESCRIPTION The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU forms a network with the ECUs of other systems through the communication bus. Each ECU informs the other ECUs that it is connected to the network by outputting a specified signal (periodical signal) onto the communication bus on a regular schedule. The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU detects the connection of each ECU based on the signal. 5. It would be useful for people with RHD prefacelifts. As facelift/prefacelift control panels are different
  6. Euro/US spec GS did not had auto fold from factory ,only LS. Japan market GS got it from around mid 2006 ish, but only in japan. Dont ask me why, because i dont know, thats how they did things i guess.
  7. To do this you'll need a new drop down buttons tray. Part No :84870-30860. Youll have to source it from Japan as panels with this part No been fitted to JDM cars only. You will lose headlights washer button as in Japan HID headlights does not require to have washers. (automatic headlight washing still works, you only lose manual option ,so its all legal for M.O.T) After receiving the new part is pretty much straight forward swap ,no coding required. There is other part no. options to choose from, and they all differs by the options available with the car. As ex. no sunshade ,no parking sensors etc. The part number above is for japanese ''fully loaded'' GS,so its got all the buttons apart manual headlights washer as i mentioned above. Expect to pay around £210 all included. Takes about 3 weeks to arrive. At least from amayama.com ,that's where i got mine. IMPORTANT part to note ,part number provided is for the cars that buttons to open the fuel door and boot lid has already been relocated below the drop down panel. For cars that got bootlid/fuel door on the drop down panel, theres different part number, sadly i cannot provide one as im not 100% sure myself yet,but retrofit for those are possible as well. It only works for RHD cars obviously, as part is from JDM. For LHD im not aware of any options to be honest, maybe resoldering the smt type controller from JDM part would work for LHD cars ,i dont know, just shooting in the dark here. If someone needs more info on this, ill happy to answer if i happen to know the answer 🙂 (Picture with JDM part installed )
  8. https://www.veed.io/view/48fc5046-c71a-40ac-9850-2ae958a8de50?panel=share Video in action. Thanks to @Toyoda for inspiration lol There's still more research needs to be done for 2005-2007,but i managed to source the info on how to get the auto fold retrofit on facelifts. Sadly, there's no option for LHD cars as far as i can tell as this only works on RHD. With some soldering skills and patience it might be possible to get it working on LHD cars, but its obviously aint that straight forward
  9. Thank You. Im still doing some research just for the curiosity, maybe other gs owners finds it beneficial. I would buy some parts for testing purposes, sadly, nothing is available anywhere apart from japan, and not everyone in there wants to ship stuff to uk
  10. Well,it's not prius, but its not that bad tbf. Dont forget that its got 3.5 in there, and gs350 in town gets around 15-17mpg,so hybrid part does have some benefits when it comes to economy,i call it glorified start stop system. On the other hand,i would advise you to have a decent test drive in one,as it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'm as an example, already checking ads for beemers and audis, reason being,f*** cvt transmissions. Some other people loves them tho... Its not a bad car overall, but if you get an old one, expect big repair bills if something goes wrong. Batteries around 1k,new inverter can set you back 2k+,if you get sport trim, they got active anti roll bars, when they goes thats around 3k mark, shock absorbers 300 quid per corner unless you drop in shocks from gs300 in there. Im not saying that all this will happen to you, there are people who haven't got any issues even with early models, but thats the issues you should have in mind while purchasing one.
  11. He's talking about Premier which is MK4 GS. They are slightly more economical. With MK3 450h 35mpg is about what you get on a run. If you drive like miss daisy in her 70s + cruise control on a long stretch you might see closer to 40mpg. In town, without trying to save fuel just driving with the flow im getting around 22-24mpgs.
  12. Thank you @Toyoda. Sadly, going just purely by the EPC with no vin etc. is a hit and miss,as they list all fitted units. As example in your link it says that control panel been used in between 2007-2008,even tho, yours was 2009 if im not mistaken. Anyways,if someone have some spare cash, they can give it a go with this : 84870-30800-C0. This unit should have auto fold function, cost around £140+postage+import taxes tho. They guy i have conversion with says to be careful,as a lot of places don't really know the differences between these panels,so you order one,but they send some different part no,as auto fold is not the function being listed on them. Only rear shade, front sensor and interior alarm sensors are listed as "features" and they are separated that way. It is rather difficult to dig the information on these cars,as my Japanese is rusty as hell, the guy im talking to,his English rusty as hell, and hes not even a car guy,so he relays my questions to another guy which is sorta car guy in Japan, but not very familiar with lexus,so have to dig in to forums after receiving my questions through broke phone technique lol. I might bite the bullet and order one myself just for the research purposes, but im not too sure for how many people this information is relevant tbf. Merry Christmas everyone btw.
  13. Would be an easy fix, but i tried smelling mats themselves and they don't stink ,gives out just an average car smell. I was hoping that its something been spilled on the floor, but cant find no evidence. Also, if you leave the car on a hot day ,there's no smell when entering car.
  14. I've got to drive honda jazz till my lexus been left at the garage few months back ,i don't know what was wrong with it, but i never seen a car with such a bad interior smell
  15. If smell disappears after minute or two that's mostly mould on AC evaporator. I had this with loads of cars,SAAB,MB,AUDI and one Lexus few years back. Few miles before reaching home, try to turn the AC off but leave climate control blowing to dry the core. It doesn't solve the problem entirely but next time you start the car there's much less or no bad smell at all. Also its possible that AC drain is clogged up and condensation has nowhere to escape from hvac system. My issue is a bit different, it stinks only when blowing warm/hot air ,only when towards the feet ,smell is not consistent but pretty much never stops.
