OK This may of been posted lots of times & probably should of used the search which i did, cant find specific answers. Anyway i need new front tyres soon for the Altezza AT. Do anyone think Toyo any good still? I used it on my old Mazda 323F 2.0 V6 ZXi (16 inch mazda rims)& found them pretty good. My IS200 got Goodyear ones, cant remember what ones. How much would you spend on tyres? I dont want to spend too much, its only original 17inch Lexus IS200 wheels. thanks

Probs like this is quite common even in main car dealers beleive it or not. Few yrs back i was at Mazda car dealer looking at some of their cars on the forecourt while my mazda 323f ZXi being seen too by mazda & notice one of their cars been re sprayed(was done by Mazda) but i think the paintwork job is not too good with over spray on the window seals where the window + seals got masked up rather than it being removed. it also had Special Edition stickers( from a special edition mazda 323f can only get them from mazda) i know for a fact that car wasn't special edition, the paintwork slightly faded too. Put it this way i wouldnt of been happy with the job if i was interested in buying that mazda.

You get those shark fin antenna that are stick on, u can even get ones that got flashing led lights on them, but i wouldnt get one tacky comes in mind

Looked at the TRD japan website official one i think, it dont list side skirts there! & the front bumper spoiler shown there is completely different from the ones sold at Lexus car dealer!

MaxPower ergh!!!dont like it! Some of the reason why people do what they do in their modded cars are down to maxpower anyway & thats not just modifying its things like burn outs racing etc........what i trying to say is that they well.....encourage it. fast & the furious wannabies. Good film but yet again given a bad name as these maxpower people trying to imitate it. As for the magazine well there is way too much swearing & why? do they think there 'hard' using those words i think not! The reason why its so popular is the amount of girls in the magazine anyway. I personally dont like maxpower or see the point of it.

17inch wheels in mine. dont really think it needs bigger ones, i know its the latest craze. even cars like saxo/fietsa got 18s......Why? they just affect performance & mess up gearing it is too big!

What type of fuel is best for the RS200 Altezza? currently using 97/98 ron unleaded? no trouble with it but is it recommended? only that in japan some cars need to use 100ron unleaded that you cant get here or i dont htink you can?? i heard that some grey import cars by using anything lower than 100ron can cause some damage to the engine in the future so octane booster has to be added? unless there putting people off buying imports by saying that. how about optimax or super unleaded, do many of you use it for the altezza?

i got a 1999 Altezza & recently changed the head unit to a single din CD player due to the old OEM one not working & radio recption not too good. so if i wanted to fit a later spec OEM head unit, would it fit? connections/wiring/looms etc are they different? as i heard the later (2001 onwards?)OEM head unit are different from the 1999. im only asking as i may wanna fit it back on when it comes to selling the car, i seen lots of OEM head units for sale on Ebay but lot of them are from newer models IS200/300. i would fit my old one back on but been so much probs & the CD palyer finally died so i took it apart only to get the CD's out that got stuck. thanks! if u can help!
