  1. Don't mean to hijack this thread but I have an LS400 with the handling pack and the tyres seem to be a rare size? ie they are 245/50/17 and when I do a search on various online tyre places it only comes up with one tyre type ie Pirelli Pzero Assimetrico. Does anyone know if any other manufacturer does this size. I'm not due for any yet but its only a matters of time and I didn't really want to pay £180 per tyre!
  2. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the factory fitted motorola phone fitted to my 1999 LS400 please? I'm particularly interested in the 'gubbins' in the boot (the receiver/transmitter I guess?) TAI
  3. it's not available. ← lots of people recommend them, how come they aint available?
  4. have there been cases where the laser has been damaged by reading backup versions? I have just bitten the bullet and shelled out 155 quid less 15% LOC goldmembers discount for the 2004/05 disc. I was thinking of keeping the original as a 'master' and using a backup in the car for everyday use?
  5. Hello, i'm after an updated CDROM for me sat nav. I'm on 2.1 (1998). You mentioned that you got yours cheaper? May I ask where from? :tsktsk: removed illegal content :tsktsk:
  6. I can't seem to access this link www.lexuscarcare.com is anybody else having difficulty?
  7. My 1999 LS400 has a shiny drivers seat which looks a bit naff compared to the other, relatively unused, seats. Can anyone suggest a way of restoring the drivers seat to its former non-shiney condition?
  8. Take it from me, the car pictured on the website is not the car they are selling. I have pointed this out to them a number of times and they still persist in misrepresentation! It wouldn't be so bad if they said 'library photos' . C'mon Lexus Nottingham stop letting us down!!!!
  9. Makes sense I suppose, just need to wash it first so I can take some half decent pics. :) I can't find anyone advertising anything similar anywhere so not sure on price. 1999 'T' reg, Lexus LS400, full Lexus service history, sat nav etc. 2000 ones are going for £11495 while 1998 for £9995 so I guess advertise at £10,750 ono? Thoughts anyone? And do the decent thing and let it go for less than whatever I finally decide to advertise it at, if the buyer is a Gold Member. :winky: ← I just bought a 99 T plate from a non Lexus dealer for 9600. It had 87k on clock when i bought it. its got the handling pack and wood steering wheel. Pictures on my gallery. It would be good to sell to a LOC member, I know there is one interested and I think he's already contacted you. Good luck to you both.
  10. It's supposed to do that Peter - it's a self-trimming aerial mate :) ← ah! I wondered why mine did that! Its seem to alter when I switch from MW to FM, that'll be it self-trimming then?
  11. I'm sure you'll find the right one eventually. The wait will be be worth it. Ive had mine 2 weeks and I can't stop grinning everytime I drive it! :D
  12. The pictures on the Nottingham Lexus website are NOT the car for sale. The interior shot is particularly misleading as it shows whay in my opinion looks like a brand new LS400 with a half wooden steering wheel and wooden gear knob. I have pointed this out to the people at lexus that it is misleading. They obviously have done nothing about it. I have many tales of woe about my experience with that car and Lexus Nottingham.
  13. My LS400 has done 88k. I bought it 2 weeks ago and checked the oil level at the weekend to find the oil on the dipstick a lovely amber colour. The car was serviced at 81k and was amazed at how clean the oil is after 7k. My previous car was an audi diesel and even when the car had just been serviced the oil was black! Is it normal for the Lexus oil to be so clean (not complaining of course!). Could it be down to the VVTi engine burning fuel very efficiently? I'm no techy but its just theory?
  14. Being a relative newbie to Lexus I noticed on ebay that there is a LS400 for sale advertised with 4 wheel drive. Is this right? Ive read quite alot about 400's but never seen any mention of 4 wheel drive before?
  15. yep, thats it! just checked the owners manual and that's what it says. Thanks everyone.
