  1. Hi, I do all my own servicing, no problems really , I do advise getting a oil filter adapter tool for the paper element oil filter, does make life easier. If your doing brakes take the negative off the battery, the keep the key fob out of the way , and put a piece of wood underneath the tailgate to stop it closing, no power no open ! Pump up brakes before putting power back on.
  2. Just out of intrest for you if you go on the US site for SC400 (soarer) it gives a complete guide on doing the valve gaps very ez to follow and certainly doesn`t involve taking heads off ! Just to put my tenpence worth in I would put your surging down to your TPS (throttle postion sensor) being worn. :winky:
  3. Hi again mr larkin (lpg inq)sounds like my car when I bought it and had all sorts of vidrations through steering and transmisson, .Firstly sort your braks out LS`s eat front disc`s for fun and I bet your front calipers are seizng up as well ,very common but overlooked and this causes your new discs to warp !!! THen sort your rear suspension as on LEXLS.com web tutorials. i have replaced all my rear suspension bushes for poly bushes ,still a superb rde quality but alot less roll, and much better road holding.
  4. Mine is the 101 I thnk, sequential is the one you want its like a second set of injectors no loss of power due to the fitting of the gas ring in mine ,and more importantly know chance of blow back.I have countered this by fitting a shorter induction system, and have had no probs .
  5. Had my done for 3years (131000 and counting) emmegas system no real probs at all just had my tank changed to a torodial tank in spare wheel well 77l with 62l usable if you run it dry, normally fit around 55-60l in which returns around 200mls around town and 250 on motorway run all for 18 quid !!! 2p at morrisons . I have had no trouble with valves . if you are woorried about it then fit a flash lube kit very cheap off ebay. hope this is some use to you ?
  6. Yeah, mine does it if you don`t shut sunroof (tilt or slid) properly. think windows too.. ;)
  7. thinking of doing this myself cleverdick , are you going to replace trans filter ? where did you get it + how much .and what fluid you do you intend to use . as lexus fluid is crazy price ,I was going to use a good name dexron 3. spoke to John lugo, trans specialists in manchester and they said all this about only using particular fluids was a load of B$%^&S . and as long as good qaulity fluid and regular changes were done everything should be OK . ?
  8. OH forgot to say that these are the same bushes that are used on the LEXLS website tutorials , and he seems to know what he`s doing . ;)
  9. The total was 143 pounds inc the postage, that was for 2 sets of axle carrier and trailing arm bushes and 1 set of rear upper control arm (wishbone) bushes.
  10. Thanks Wheels ,plenty of members must have trouble obtaining these bushes, there certainly a much cheaper option than buying complete arms or parts from the dealers, I`m lucky I can fit them myself. This does seem a good club ,with a very good exchange of info so I thought I`d do my bit :D :D :D
  11. Hello everyone this is my first post ,I have had some suspension probs at the rear end ! N/S/R upper wishbone bushes (control arm) with alot of play, and rear axle carrier and trailng arm bushes causing brake pulseation, and trans judder when light braking, Can you get all these bushes anywhere from the same maker I`ve tried long and hard with no decent results .
