  1. Hi all, having changed the wheels from the MK I standard 15 inchers for the bigger 16 inch mk II's should I have the wheels re-aligned? Is the offset different or anything that would upset the suspension etc.? Many thanks.
  2. Advertising on ebay-don't bother with this guy-service is super slow, he sends half the parts and does not answer emails about the rest! Someone else said the same thing a few weeks ago on this forum too. You have been warned...
  3. Hi all, I am sure you will be able to tell me what to look for here. The car has started to feel sort of floaty and jiggly at low speeds and sort of feels unsure at high speeds. It's so bad I don't even like driving it in the wet now... It's like the dampers are not tightly connected to the wheels somehow, but they seem fine on a corner bounce test. After a while I start to feel a bit sea-sick but why? Is it something to do with suspension bushes? It only began last week but now I am just not enjoying driving it anymore :-( Thanks for any help guys.
  4. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...cmd=si&img=1535 Do you mean on this picture..SHOCKING :D That pictures from up by the local shops,No pylons near where i live heard bad side effects from them pylons ← Nice one! :-)
  5. Thanks-looks like they did do it right then-wierd, I just don't remember them being there. Thanks for the great pics-your car looks great too-nice charging pylon in the background, yours must be one of those new electric hybrid LS400 I heard about :-) (far better fuel consumption figures).
  6. Hi, could one of you do me a favour and look at your windscreen? I have had mine replaced and it seems very noisy and seems to start buffeting in the wind at around 80mph. I have looked at it with a quizical eye and noticed either side there seems to be a rubber or plastic fillet missing down the lenth of the screen-is it suposed to look like these pics or have the repairers fogotten to put them back in/knackered them? Thanks guys. http://www.mriain.f2s.com/picture001.jpg http://www.mriain.f2s.com/picture002.jpg http://www.mriain.f2s.com/picture003.jpg
  7. This ebay seller was selling a new sidelight a week or so ago-might be worth emailing him to see if it sold... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...4554667728&rd=1

  9. Hi, I have used the chrome strip from America-arrived fine but don't expect a big package. It is rounded chromed plastic channel with some kind of pressure sensitive adhesive on the inside. Lokks great after fitting but here are a couple of tips: Use superglue at the end of each strip or it is liable to fall off when it's sunny or it rains.. Check each length twice before you cut it to the correct size-if you cut it too short you have to order a new kit, there is no spare! Install when it's warm so the glue is softer. Seal the end of each piece with clear laquer to prevent water getting behind it and lifting it off. Good luck, I think it makes a great car look even better!!!
  10. Got vibration on my car at around 80-90 mph. Been back to the garage three time and it has made little difference-it was perfect before they put the new tyres on grrrr!!! Will try another garage methinks ;-)
  11. Up the driveway at home-£50 excess... Seems to be ok so far although I think there is more wind noise-can't decide though, maybe I am imagining it..
  12. Had mine done, it took three guys from the RAC 3 hours... Why the RAC? No idea-it's who the insurance company sent to do the job...
  13. Thanks Scorpion, I have put 34 psi in as instructed and the difference in the ride quality from the 36 psi that was in is incredible, much quieter and more refined-well worth checking your tyre pressures! By the way, my tyres are 225/60/R16/98V is there any difference between 87V and 98V-what does it stand for-I think it's the speed rating but how does it work//
  14. Are you absolutely sure that the seat belt is not twisted somewhere between the roller and the visible part-if it is it will seem to have lost all it's roll up tension. Just a thought...
