  1. Noticed today on a newish Celica that it had on same Dunlop SPS9000 215/45 17s as me motor. Don't manufacturers do tyres to (hushly) be more suited to rear or front drivers (e.g. P Zero Rosso)?
  2. Bad luck mate. I had my rear right punctured by a screw one week from new! I went to Kwikfit and they were very helpful. The hole was a bit near the sidewall and was on the verge of being illegal to repair, thank *** the guy was very cool. The tyre then was quoted at near £200! (Dunlop SP Sport9000, 215 45, 17s) It also took him AGES to take off and replace (the tyre) since my new was so new and shiny, and the guy was really sweating for me! He thought I have driven 50 miles, when I have done 700 already! Anyway..... hope you get it repaired. It does seem like the Dunlops are very good, very predictable in the dry, lots of grip and feel, and hard wearing. I was suspicious of them in the beginning but after seeing them on an M5 and M3, I gave them respect. So maybe I should stick with them... and better suggestions?
  3. I am nearing 10k on the IS200SE, was initially expecting 12k out of the tyres (with the way I drive!), but they look so far so good. I also thought that they will need to be swapped as per the manual with stated 6k as the ideal point, but didn't do it and it's very even front and back! I wonder why. Anyway, in the light of this, what kind of miles do you guys get out of your tyres? And what tyres and IYO the best for an IS200SE?
  4. Hi guys, My car is very near its 10k service, and recently its developed something of a problem (I suspect). 1) about 2k miles ago, the brakes were not biting NEARLY as hard as they did, I loved them up to the point, now it seems to take so much longer to stop. Some more travel in the pedal, but once there, the feel and ultimate retardation is not that different from before. 2) 2 days ago, after leaving it overnight in the garage, took it out and the clutch has gone really light, quite vague and has made decent pace driving difficult and made me worried a lot. There was no idication of that happening before. I used to find it a bit heavy, but now, my ***, can hardly feel it. That's said, it's still biting at the same point. 3) Engine has accelerated strangely a couple of times, what felt like a flat spot somewhere. But have been fine up to this milage. What is wrong with my baby?? :( Please help someone! Thanks in advance.
  5. Humm... first post!! Yipee Well, driven wise, fastest = Merc E55. Wow! What stunning motor. And the brakes! Then it would be a 355 but only slowly. And a boxster and a Fiat Coupe Turbo, ***** was that fun. Having had a ride in: F456GT, F360, 996 C4, 993 C2, 964 C2, 928GT4, 850CSI, Oh, and the Mclaren F1 wasn't bad either! :)
