  1. Hi Matt It looks great. see you are using AMD processor, also is that the power supply at the back, if so where did you purchase it, how much currant dose it lap up, my laptop approximately 3.5Amps. I have been in electronics for 50 years, involved in computing since 1978, built a few computers for the family, also designed and built I/O ports to control other equipment. So give me some information on this project. You can PM me or put on the Forum for others to view, who are interested. Best regards Syd My Webpage My Webpage

  4. Bad idea iv been in electronics for 50 years. to put supply without a limiting resistor in the circuit is a bad idea. And the unit in the left side of the boot on a M111 is the Lamp failure unit. Regards Syd

  7. Hi Guy's. Just spent most of the day fitting a tow bar to my 1996 LS400 from Watling engineering via Towequipe, cheaper than getting direct from Watling. (£232.00 including PP). One large problem, if you don’t have a bench drill that takes a 13mm drill mine only takes 10mm, but I do have a lathe, so put the drill in the head stock and rested the angle plate on the cross slide and used the tailstock to force the it onto the drill. The reason why! The holes in (angle drop plate) are the correct size but the hole centres where slightly out of line and I couldn’t get one bolt in. After that it was fairly strait forward. Just designed a PC board to take six relays to combat the loading on the existing wiring also any problems on the bulb failure circuits; Picking up the relay’s tomorrow. I have already run 63-amp twin cable into the boot, made a special fuse holder to take blade fuses inside the main fuse box under the bonnet. If somebody could tell me why my file attachments will not display on any new forum topic. Otherwise I would show you step-by-step Photos. Regards Syd
  8. Hi Matt; Syd Again Had all the panel out of the boot, No Amplifier's there. unless there is something in the CG changer compartment. Any body out-there know.
  9. Hi Only for LS from year 2000 Regard Syd Sorry Syd, I have to beg to differ. Select "Flanged Type", then 2nd one down..... It is the Watling PTY70DT which is for LS400 jan 95 UCF20. For me, this means it will fit a Mk III. I have a copy of the fitting instructions, faxed to me from Watling, Watling LS400 95->. I am still planning on buying 1, but not ready yet, I need to sort my noisey steering pump 1st. Sorry you are right. I was looking at a detachable.
  10. Hi, I'm not sure if mine is the same but does yours have the Premium Sound System installed? If you look in the boot the amp is mounted on top of the CD changer ( you may have to remove the 1st aid box moulding to see) If is is this type let me know as I have the wiring diagram with the colour codes for the speaker wires. The plug on the head unit you pulled and the sound went off may be the inputs to the amp and not the outputs ( speaker) connections. cheers, Steve Hi Steve The cd changer in our car's is above the glove box inside the car. from 1995 onwards Regard Syd
  11. Hi Matt Had a look at circuits for Mk1 with the CD changer in the boot, there is two separate amplifiers right hand side in the boot. one for main speakers and the other for the Sub-Woofer. Not yet investigated. Pictures of my touch screen project, laptop in the boot
