  1. Hi there, Did you get sorted with the wheels? I have the wheels and tyres that are currently on ebay. Happy to talk about a sensible price as it will free up some space in the garage. Kind regards, Colin 01425474823
  2. Hi there, I have a set of OE alloys taken from my 2001 SC430. Please get in touch if these are of any interest to you. They are complete with tyres. Regards, Colin 07941746114 01425474823
  3. Hi Gary, I have the identical problem. Could you let me know where the sensor is located on the back axle please? Is it easy to spot? Kind regards, Colin On the passenger side bud. You'll spot it attached to the lower arm. Thanks Gary. Found it fine. Regards. Colin
  4. They are on motors. It's probably the sensor on the back axle. It's easy to diagnose. Jack the car up and remove the sensor but leave it plugged in. Move the arm along it's travel and observe the headlight movement. if its irratic, use a multimeter to check the sensor output is linear and not broken. If it's a bad reading replace the sensor. gary Hi Gary, I have the identical problem. Could you let me know where the sensor is located on the back axle please? Is it easy to spot? 5. Hi there, You are probably aware of this one being broken. Quite a few parts already stripped but you never know. Regards, Colin Soory - forgot the link - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=250571904451

  7. Many thanks - Yes I got in touch. The irony is that although this is listed under '10 Fuses for sale' the fuses and box have already been sold! I will just have to keep looking. Regards, Colin
  8. Would anyone know of a RHD SC430 that is being broken for parts??? I am looking for the fusebox from the drivers footwell. Kind regards, Colin
  9. Ok Colin. I know you say you've checked the fuses, have you looked in all 5 boxes? All checks point to the 5A fuse in the driver footwell marked as 'Panel'. I verified this on my own car by removing it and it displays all the symptoms you describe. Gary. Hi Gary, Really appreciate you getting back to me. I will try looking again at all the fuses in the driver's footwell. By the way would you have the fuse row listing for the drivers side as the cover is not in place on this box in my car (it is for all the other boxes). In the meantime I will replace them all but I am wondering if the fuse is actually missing and this is causing the problem -so I will also try filling the gaps again and see if that works. Kind regards, Colin The site won't let me upload a pic of the lid, but it's the 4th one up from the right hand side as you look at it. If you send me your e.mail i'll send a pic of the cover. Hi Gary, My email is cmarksmith@talk21.com. Could you confirm that there is backlighting for all the centre console switches (such as the hazard warning lights, fan switch etc.). I did test the continuity on the panel fuse and it was fine plus there was a live feed to the fuse. Removing the fuse made no difference. Kind regards, Colin

  11. Thanks for getting back to me with the ideas. I have checked all the fuses twice and they are all OK. I have even put fuses in the spare holders in case one had been removed. It may be a poor connection somewhere in the circuit - I wonder where????? Could not find anything obvious. Regards, Colin.
  12. Many thanks for the advice. I have now sorted the problem. Access was fine with the front wheels removed and the wheel arch liner undone at the front. Then simple to twist off and replace. Anyone with very small hands could possibly remove from inside the engine bay! Regards, Colin
  13. As you have probably gathered I have only recently bought this car and I am trying to iron out some small problems. I have no interior lights in the centre console. The selector lights do not illuminate and the switches around the heater console do not light up either. I have switched on the rheostat that dims the lights. I have checked the fuses. Are there several bulbs that light the centre console and dash and if so, where are they located Any advice as to the likely problem would be very gratefully received. Many thanks, Mark
  14. My nearside parking light seems to have blown on my 2001 Sc430. Could anyone give me some advice on replacing this? The handbook does not even describe the procedure. Does the headlamp need to be removed to get access? I have removed the plastic cover but can not get close to the fitting. Any pointers gratefully received! Best regards, Colin
