Headlights Blowing Fuse

Hi there everyone, i have just bought myself a 2005 IS 250 SE-L manual, its absolutly brill apart from the fact that the dipped beam doesn't work at all on both headlights, i checked the fuses under the bonnet and found one had blown, but i replaced them both, tried my lights again and it blew one fuse straight away. As i'm new to these cars could somebody please help point me in the right direction as to the fault. Ta very much

Sounds like a chaffed wire or water ingress.

ok thanks, the person i bought it from told me that its had the ballasts replaced so it could be that a wire gots caught when the lights were put back in, i'll take them out and have look, is it easy to take the headlights out ?

Its a bumper off job, but that is easy some good vids on utube. 6 x 10 mill bolts underneath the bumper 1 on either side of top wheel arch behind lining.

And 2 bolts on top and 4 clips where the grill is. Sounds hard but its easy.
