hi, i'm just after some advice. I took my lexus for a service the other day and they told me they were unable to open the fuel filter housing without breaking it and have advised me to order the fuel filter housing from lexus so they can change it. I'm not too sure whether to get a second opinion or to just order the new part. I'm not very clued up when it comes to cars so i don't know if its common to have problems opening the housing or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

I am currently arranging a new fuel filter housing due to current one been cracked The cost is £136.00 inc VAT. I have hunted all over for one but have only found at dealers. This is a common fault stated by Toyota yet lexus says it's not. It's a job that requires doing so I would advise you to go ahead with what is required...
