Handbrake Or E-brake Light Problem...

So when I pull my handbrake, the handbrake light should come on and stay on. But mine is having some trouble staying on... It either blinks at a random beat or it shuts of completely. I am guessing that it is either a sensor issue with the pulling of handbrake motion or the lamp attached to the back of the gauge board thingy...


Can anyone advise how I can check this? I mean going to both locations...
