LEXUS IS200 MANUAL SWAP

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

im looking to manual swap my Lexus is200! I was hoping someone would help me with a parts list I’m either thinking of using a w55 Manual transmission or just another is200 manual transmission (dont know the name) I know the basic things I need like a gear box, flywheel clutch pressure plate, drive sharf, clutch pedal but what else do a need to make the installation smoother. My friends are mechanics so we have got all the tools and they will help me. Just also seeing if anyone has ran into problems with this before, are there any electrical components that need replacing?

Also please don’t just say, “oh just sell it and buy another one in manual it will be cheaper” or “buy an is250”   (which are very rare in manual anyway) and “just do a full engine and transmission swap”. I know it maybe cheaper to buy a new car but this car has value to me and I don’t want to get rid of it.

Thanks again guys!
