2018 RX450h Lexus connected services login problem

Hi,

My new RX450h has several features that require internet access but I am having trouble establishing the necessary connection. I have created an account with 'My Lexus' and entered the sat nav system code as requested. I have also downloaded the app on my phone. Phone is connected to car by Bluetooth and that works fine. I now have a user name and password but when I use these to try and log in from the car media system I get an error message saying connection failed. Has anyone succesfully connected? Are the services offerred really worth having ? The app and the website both seem a bit basic and cluncky so am am not optimisitc.

Instrction manual is useless and I havent got time at the moment to go back to the dealer...

Always tricky at first, I hope you are using your home WiFi as that is the best way, also you have to follow the instruction in the Navigation manual . When I set mine up, I had the manual by my side and was parked in front of my house to be able to connect to the home WiFi before I was successful

Do you use the home wifi just to get the first connection then move to the phone's 4g when on the move?

Exactly that’s what I do, the most amazing feature is the photo view of the destination that you can view before you get there especially if you are going to a place you’ve never been before

thanks. I have to do the same..park it in front of the house using the WIFI. Have made couple of attempts before but was in rush and couldnt get it done...long weekend should do!
