isn't the key to caliper longevity just to make sure they are routinely checked over and " simply serviced " every time you have a service on the car ?

Mine have never been replaced in 25 years and 232k miles ..  just checked over, adjusted and ensured to function correctly at each service

I have full Lexus service history until I bought it nigh on 10 years ago and there's no mention of caliper replacement at all

Very True, I hope also to follow the same processes  until its sold in the future & who every takes it on will have years of issue free brake performance ( subject to the usual maintenance requirements)
