Indicator Flasher unit

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Brand new member here with my first Lexus RX300 Mk2

It is fitted with a factory Lexus tow bar. It looks like the wiring in the socket is non-standard.

My problem is that, when I attach the trailer (wiring altered to suit the car), the indicator lights go VERY fast. There are no LED bulbs

I am assuming that the flasher unit is overloaded and I need to instal a heavy  duty unit. The problem is I have worked out the location of the flasher unit but I cannot work out how to access it. How do I remove the panel in front of the driver's legs?

Is there any other possibility I have missed? All other wires (brake and side light) are fine. Also the bulbs in the indicators are good.

Does anyone know where I can buy a heavy duty unit suitable for this Lexus model?

Many thanks

Next problem - sort the sir suspension. Left Rear hit a pothole, car jumped up and down like a Kangaroo 10 times/ Now suspension is hard at times. Right rear has an air leak. All corners are at different heights. All trouble codes cleared.

I miss the beauty and simplicity of my old Morris Minor! The same with my TVR 350i.
