Hi Everyone,

Im hoping someone on here might be able to help with a starting problem ive got with the car...

The car always starts and runs fine from cold, the trouble is when its switched off from warm and left for 5 or 10 mins then restarted,it starts everytime from warm, but looses rpm and cuts out..

It can take a dozen trys to get the engine to run, once running the engine seems fine until its turned off...

I downloaded the ecm faults info from mkiv.com,but my friend says that if the engine fault lights not coming on when the starting problem happens,it wont show up....

So as yet ive not tryed getting the codes out...

Id be greatful of any help please..

The cars standard with no mods..

Ive taken the idle control valve off and soaked it in petrol incase its sticking but theres no change....i was thinking weather it could be low fuel pressure?

cheers chips..

Anyone else these sort of problems?
