Is200 Red Inside Door Light/buzzer Puzzle!

Hi all!

The interior (red) drivers side door light does not work on my IS200. Changing the bulb didn't help. There is 12V between the wires when the door is open and no bulb in place...but as soon as I put a bulb in, the 12V goes to zero!

Another (maybe related) problem is that the door buzzer is not working when the main lights are on!

The fuses all seem okay...although I'm not sure exactly which is responsible for these things.

I'm out of ideas now..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

play around with the door sensor (on the frame near the latch) and maybe you need a new one, I needed a new one and it was about £7

Thanks Colin. It was indeed the switch. I got it working by removing and spraying with WD40. Still not working perfectly though, so I guess I'll be heading to Lexus for a new switch!
