Aircon With A Mind Of Its Own...

Recommended Posts

Hi, first post from a newbie!

I have a 2001 LS430, love it to death....but weird thing happened last week, got in, switched on, and aircon started incrementing the temperature on its own all the way up to Max Temp - about 2 increments per second. Switched off, tried again, same thing, adjusted it back down and it stayed down OK!! Has done it again once since then but only once, anyone seen this sauna-like behaviour from their A/C ?

OK, now off to read all you guys' other posts....

Cheers

ADC

Hi and Welcome to the LOC :)

Sorry i cant help as to your A/C problem as ive only owned the older LS version.

It could be a sensor fault from the inside temp sensor from within the cabin causing it to ramp up the heat because it thinks its to cold inside the cabin

Chips.
