Crossover Wiring Question

Recommended Posts

If it's a passive crossover (that works at speaker level) I'd say from the speaker output on the head unit.

If it's an active crossover (RCA in/out, works at line level, feeds amps) I'd ground it to the chassis and take +ve from a relay that's operated by the remote switching wire from the head unit.

Alpine CDE-9850Ri headunit (iPOD compatible)

Alpine SWD-1600 amplified SW

Infinity Kappa P6.1 fronts

Infinity Reference rears

just a bit of a PITA having to have to run cable from the HU to the crossover in the door panels
