Hi ex RAC man here I had to fit a EGR pipe to my 1995 LS400 today.I found lots of people on here saying that it was a long job and very hard to get to.So I will let you know how I did it in 40mins. Now I did have a ramp for this and two people. First take off the two 12mm nuts near the CAT using a short 12mm ring or comb spanner . Then go and kneel on the engine and look down at the egr pipe where it meets the valve and put your hand down to guide the socket on to the bolts when up in the air. it will have to be a wobbley 12mm socket. Now get the ramp up in the air and with help from your mate it will come off with no problem. you may have to use 3 extensions and a U/J to get round the bend of the pipe but it saves loads of time. The trick is having the tools its worth asking around to see if you can get the right ones. Snap on poss. OK job done. PS the pipe was £67.00 plus VAT
