Question About The Is200 Cd Player! Please Hepl!

Recommended Posts

No, they have different connectors at the back, you need the bottom loader type (pre '01). Whereas the top loader usually go for £100 on eBay. The problem is that the type ur after can be bidded up to £200 (seen one go for £250 before) and because of the age and use, it could happen at any time after you buying it. You can try varies methods by searching the forum to try and get it going, but it's unlikely you're gonna solve the problem. Lexus will charge you in the region of £1200 for a new stereo (not sure how much they charge to fix it, but its not cheap either way). You can try taking it to another independent ICE shop to get it fixed (theres one on eBay, they charge £250 to fix the error, but ive never used them before so i can't comment on their work). Like most people, consider upgrading the stereo with an after market one instead. Theres plenty of posts about this too if you search the forum..

PS..admin can you move this post to the stereo section, theres also another stereo post, a few below this one in the Lexus car care and detailing...cheers!
