Not worth taking the cat off if the car is still standard (no forced induction). Also you'll have the engine management light thrown on from time to time, if not all the time.

I find the camcon to be a good bit of kit as it smooths out the power and torque curves also adds more bhp. Not sure how much they fare on standard cars. there is a thread and I think a dyno chart of a guy who had one fitted to his standard IS by TDi. There's also a guy on here from Italy I think who fitted a camcon himself. There are the diagrams etc on here that he posted too.

yep, that would be me :whistling:

fittin the camcon is pretty easy, only problem is the wiring harness being too short so you don't have much choiche of where to put it in the cabin.

It does smooth out the tourque and - dependin on how you set it - you dont' feel the "kick" at 4.5k revs anymore and it feels more torquey at low revs - that's at least with my settings. But really, don't expect too much, if I had to do it again I'd probably not go for it.

Truth to be said, you should have it dyno-tuned to get the maximum gain, but I haven't done it yet.

If there's something I can help you with, just let me know.

take care
