Dying Battery

Hi,

I have an IS200 Sport Sept 2002 model. I hadn't driven my car for nearly 3 weeks as I was on vacation and I have had to jump start my car with the aid of jump leads and a second car... on two occasions now. One it starts, runs on... if I switch off, it will start again...

Do you think my Battery has died completley or as I begin to drive it now that I am back it should charge up again.

If I look at the top of the Battery, there used to be a green dot/light... now there is nothing.

Any advice?

PS. I think its the original Battery. If it helps, I have only done 59,500 miles

does it hold a charge overnight?

Take it along to Halfrauds and they will test it for you.

It sounds like it might be on the way out, and TBH a new Battery is around 50 from Lexus/Toyota.

I would start by checking the Battery levels & top up with distilled water - unless its maintenance free then you cant!, some garages will do a free drain test on your Battery.

I had the same problem with my car not starting got a trickel charger and charged my Battery over night now it starts first time :D even if i leave it for a week without starting it.It is also the original Battery
