Hi, Does anyone know if the 2009 low emmisions model is still fitted with the dismal 6 speed gear ratio's ?

I am just abou to choose a new car & would consider a lexus apart from the unusable 6th gear & dismal economy.

I can't even seem to find a technical brochure so i can compare the ratios

combined 50mpg is quoted but if the gearbox is unchanged then i would avoid at all costs

I doubt they will change, they havent changed for the initial 2009 facelift model. But IMO the best thing to do would be to wait till the delears have it available and take it for a test drive.

Wouldn't touch it without driving it...and even then, if the salesman says "...oh it'll improve with a few 000 miles..." just tell him to prove it (i.e. let you have one with 5000 miles on it or so...which they won't b able to find straight away LOL
