The gearshift (the gear stick if you like) on my 93 l400 has suddenly got shif and notchy. Its always been okay until now. Its worst when im moving it out of PARK. Its almost as if theres a bit of plastic somewhere underneath that stopping it moving. I have to give a good pull. Its also a bit notchy around the other gears. Feels sticky.

Is there any way i can get the walnut pannel out to free it up.??
