Haha think Ade means the way it's laid out like the watch Matt!

Basically you've got the Speedo and Rev counter as the large ones and then in the smaller bits you've got water temp, MPG and I think Battery voltage - can't really remember exactly as it's been a few years since I've been sat in an IS! And on the other side the fuel gauge and if it's an Auto you get the gear indicators.

the reason behind the "chrono" style instrument cluster , stems back to the Altezza (is200/300) project manager, his name was Nobuaki Katayama, he was an avid watch collector, and loved the simple look of the Chrono 3 dials within one look

I thought the story was that Nobuaki Katayama caught one of his designers looking at his watch when they were designing the Altezza/IS200. The designer was wearing a Chronograph watch. Nobuaki Katayama decided to use the Chronograph design for the clocks on the Altezza/IS200?

That's what James May said when he tested the IS200 back in 1999.
