Hi to you all,I have been a guest on here for a while gaining as much info as I can,and I must say this is a great site for info.I have just put a deposit on a IS 200 Sport cross blue 1 owner + lexus history. I will collect it later in the week when the dealer (not Lexus) has sorted a couple of issues No Manual ; and the only key is shot and in pieces. I have insisted on a new master and a new slave key at his expense , and we cannot open the hatchback due to the key problem , is there a latch inside the car ?. It is also due a 50,000 service but as I am an engineer I will do this myself no problem Never had a Lexus but I am well impressed I will be back with more questions when I have it in my garage

Nice to see you've done your homework, getting your dealer to sort out the key prob is the way to go, that stung me in the pocket big time when i bought mine. hope you also took a couple of cd's to try the stereo aswell mate.

Anyway, welcome to the club, hope you enjoy the motor when you get it

Hi & welcome to LOC.

You will find the boot release lever on the floor between the drivers seat and drivers door next to the fuel cap pull. You should also be able to unlock it with the key as well as the remote fob ( when it works ) - so check all three !!

If you want a read in advance register on the USA forum and go to ( link above ):

http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=26434

You will find electronic versions of the manuals ( although it's the IS300 most of it is the same ).
