Rx450h Rear Speaker Volume

Recommended Posts

The sound system on the 450h-I is very good. If you're in the front seats. However, if the fader is central and you are in the back seat, it is hard to hear the speakers. The dealer tells me it is because there are "only" four speakers in the rear, as opposed to seven in the front. He sat in the car with me and tells me it is normal. Anyone else had this?

Could you do me a favour and sit in the back seat of your car and tell me if you believe the speaker volume is high enough when on the volume is set for comfortable listening in the front seats?

Does it have a "surround sound" system? If so what setting is the system on? If it's on surround, then that's a possible cause. I am surprised though that it has 7 speakers in the front and only 4 in the rear.........

It is the standard sound system that comes with the I trim. The sound set-up allows you to control the speakers Left vs Right and Front vs Back. Set in the "middle" the sound when in the back seat is way too low.
