Engine Oil Cap Smells Petrol !?

hi, im a new guy here :)

just bought my is 2oo se a week ago, its my firs car as weel:) and is great, all my friends are jealous;)

im dont know much about car mechanics and the car seemed in quite good condition to me

but didnt get any service history.

yesterday my friend smelled petrol in engine bay and on the engine oil cap it smells bit of fumes bit of petrol

after the car was driven

the oil looks clear and yellow

if anybody knows whats that, please help!!!!!!!!

were about in scotland are you from matey??and your oil cap will smell of fumes!!!!!!!if the oil is a clear yellow thats good it also means its fresh oil...

if your near me i could have a wee peek for you....(i'm a toyota tec and mot tester)

just let me know when i could pop up, im off at weekends but can do during the week as well

tomorrow im goin to do obd at the garage where my friend is a mechanic, see what come up maybe this will help
