Personally i would ditch the factory head unit. It is well out of date by modern standards and its only time before the thing plays up with the dreaded err3 code. I brought a fascia adaptor of eBay and the cable to by pass the is200 sport amp and installed a nice Pioneer Bluetooth headunit with built in ipod connection.

Got it second hand for £125. Great head unit and i can make calls and control my ipod.

If you opt to upgrade you need to know what is200 you have as some have amplifiers in them and some do not. Its important to identify which model so you can buy the correct cable.

Heres the links for the fascia adaptor:

Heres the cable to bypass the is200 sport amplifier

Finally just buy a nice head unit. with the fascia plate you can have a single din or a double din stereo.

Hope this helps
