Additional Heating

Hello,

sorry for bad english.

I have a Lexus IS 220d for which we did not know how works additional heating.

I found in user manual only that the additional heating system was activated after 30sec. after pressing the button and in time of 55 sec. heating the inside of the car. I kindly ask you if there are some conditions (external temperature, internal temperature, fan speed)

additional heating is eberspacher coolant heating.

coolant heating means, that the heat doesn't go directly to the interior, but the coolant liquid is heated and then the heater as usual heats the interior.

this means that it takes some time to heat. after 55 seconds the eberspacher even doesn't go on full power.

I cannot tell you now how long does take to heat, because I don't remember.

And there are no conditions - if you start it in summer, it will work anyway. it is quite noisy, so you will know it is working.

PS: not every car is equipped with it....

If not depending on temperature conditions external and internal,probably does not work.These questions were put and the representative Lexus Romania but did not receive response(in my country are very few cars of this typ,and not all have this function).If you would be better for me to check if it works at any temperature outside(if you do not,expect winter)
