Paint Standard Grill?

Hi all. I have a 99 is200. I was thinking about a sport grill as my first mod but looking out the window at it now I think that maybe painting the standard grill center black and keeping the surround chrome might look good but Im looking for people who have done it for help and advice before I get hacking at my grill. Any pics of this done too because Ive only saw this one I stummbled upon on tezzaworld today that looks painted to me? or is it just an option from new that i haven't seen before??. Thanks in advance for any help

That's the same colour as my car, and mine had a black grill mesh as standard if that's what you mean.
