Bought A 2009 Is220D...bit Basic Though. Upgrades?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've recently bought an 2009 IS220d & as much as I like it & the fact I got it at a fair price, it is a bit basic. For example

- Velour seats

- 16' alloys

- Single exhaust

- The stock sound system

Basically I've set aside about £1000.00 to upgrade it either visually or performance wise (or both even) & have thought about maybe an engine remap etc.

My question is can anyone recommend a few upgrades for my budget?

Thanks!

Tbh - there is not a lot you can do with just £1000. I've been looking for the IS250 and exhaust is over that, remap not possible (not sure about diesel, but petrol is encrypted), intake is pointless (they are non-restrictive) but can increase sound, interor seats aint cheap, etc etc.

As far as i can tell, you need a fair amount to make any real changes. However, i could be wrong ;)
