Hi having had my is for 2 years with no issues the other day the eml came on having borrwoed my mates scanner it came up with the following code :- p0135 02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1.

Now I know this points to the 02 sensor as faulty but while the scanner was connected i cleared the code and took it for a drive.

Now on 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 the voltage is a lot higher than on bank 2 sensor 1 (they both vary but on tickover bank 1 is showing 0.8v ish and bank 2 is showing 0.04v ish) but they do come closer together the higher the revs.

Now my question is does this still sound like a failing 02 sensor or maybe a fuelling issue (drives fine)

Thanks for reading

Neil

i believe the sensors will show millivolts at initial start up and should increase to between 0.5 - 0.9v at tickover once engine is warmed up, and stay there. But i'm not 100% if that applies to all of the 4 sensors.....

hmmm im wondering in that case wether the fuelling is off on bank 1 (injector or spark ???) and im running rich or lean hence the different readings.

The only thing i know for sure is that the car is driving fine.

I dont mind buying a sensor if im sure thats the cause i cant stand chasing a problem with replacing bits left and right
