F-Sport Parts Not Covered If Fitted By Lexus? I Wanted Sway Bars!

Dear everyone,

My name's James and I live in Yorkshire. This is my first post so firstly, hello!

I have a IS250 Adv but read online that the F-Sport parts, if installed by a Lexus dealership, would not affect your warrenty. (Mine is a 12 plate - none preditor face)

So there I was all excited about the possibility of having the front and rear sway bars fitted but it turns out according to Leeds Lexus that you can't just have the sway bar fitted on their own but you also have to have the whole suspension setup fitted at a cost of over 3k just in parts! Bummer I thought. AND that even if I did it would void my Lexus warrenty! Something I don't want when I still have four years left.

I was just interested to know if all of this is correct? Only I'm quite dissapointed if so and bring on 2018 :-)

James

Hi James,

Welcome to the forum.

F Sport bars will not fit your car and lexus are probably right if they are suggesting that you would need modifications to get them in.

On the other hand the JUN-TW bars should fit your car out of the box.

I can't comment on the voiding warranty bit. The JUN-TW bars are yellow in color and very easy to spot if your car is on the ramp. It's probably something that won't go by unnoticed at the dealers.

Thanks, Exdee!

Feel a bit better now I've had a second opinion. What are your feelings on how worth while it is having sway bars fitted? Think I'd best go looking for forum posts on the subject.

Thanks again!

I am in the same boat here! Looking to buy an IS250 Premium but want the F-sport suspension. Garage currently finding out if its possible, they think it will invalidate the warrenty, even if done by lexus with lexus parts!

Did you get anywhere with this?
