Converting Rhd Headlights To Lhd On 2006 Ls430

Recommended Posts

Roger, if you're thinking of driving on the continent here are 3 suggestions; 1, do nothing to alter the beams (no one flashes you anyway). 2, use some black tape on the headlight to partially alter the beam. 3, buy a dedicated kit from Halfrauds (similar to no.2).

Hi Brian and thanks for your response. I am looking into exporting the car to mainland Europe and unfortunately the MOT equivalents will not accept beam deflectors. I have now been told that re-alignment on halogen lights is not possible. I am investigating USA units, but have heard that when dipped they throw the beam straight ahead and not to the right as is required.

Roger, I don't know how popular the LS430 was in Europe but maybe you could try buying from a European Lexus/Toyota dealership. Be expensive though. You could go 'used' from a European car breakers. That would be cheaper but the problem with that is you can't check condition. Anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for.

I did a bit of a cheat on one of my cars a number of years ago .,,. I know these are not the same but might give you an idea ...3 pin headlight bulb cut the locator lugs off and refit bulb at 11.00 o'clock instead of 12 .... Same car not failed a CT in for headlights !!
