Echo Or Tacho Display?

I don't know if anyone else finds that instead of just getting in the car & enjoying the drive half my time is spent watching that stupid gauge & trying to keep it in the echo zone. I prefer the tacho but of course you had to be in the Sport mode to achieve it. Playing around with the display button the other day I found you could switch the Tacho display on permanently. The blue & red displays function as before so you still Know what mode you are in. I know its a personal thing but much prefer it. Surprised how low the revs drop when just cruising.

I also have it on permanently. Just try to keep revs at zero or as low as possible whilst engine is running.

I do find it reverts back to eco gauge when in cruise control.

How to keep Tacho on. (2014 model, display button on Steering wheel)

1. Engine on.

2.Scroll though using Display button till "unit setting" shows on the display unit. (below fuel gauge).

3.Depress & hold Display button till new screen shows.

4.Scroll through to "Tachometer". Press & hold.

5.Scroll to "Keep On". Press & hold.

6.Scroll down to "Exit". Press & hold.

7. Tacho should now be showing. Mine stays on now no matter what mode & that includes cruise control.

Hope this helps. May be slightly different for earlier model but should be the same basics.

Thought I knew all the features on my car but missed this one. Abbo07, mines a 2013 model but works just the same thanks, apart from tacho going off once cruise control is switched on. Also found you can adjust the brightness of the red and blue backgrounds - not seen what difference that bit makes yet.

You can also adjust parking sensor volume, although this has to be carried out by dealer. Beep, beep when selecting reverse ( not parking sensors ) can also be switched to single beep

Yes got this done before I took delivery - had a demonstrator for a couple of hours and that feature drove me mad, sounded like the parking sensors going off, very confusing.
