  1. I'm off to Gravesend tomorrow .......... I've got my Riot Refresher Training !! so looking forward to it ........... NOT this will be me, this time 2 morrow !

    asshat2.jpg

After they would have already beat us up .......... thrown bricks at us ........... get us to run half a mile, in full riot gear and sheild .... within 2.45 seconds

There are a few of us (about 30) who are in the Scout Association who help out with Cambridgeshire's riot training every year. It is a great day out - done at RAF Alconbury on the perimiter roads - we get to set up barrackades (spelling) and throw bricks at the coppers :D It is funny to wind them up on a hot day when they are sweating their nuts off in those kevlar bits and bobs - they get right arsey.

We can say whatever we want to them which is great - atuff about their mothers always goes down a treat.

The second half of the day is a search and rescue thing - we go into a nuclear bunker which is pitch black and hide - the pigs (sorry Ahmet :whistling: ) have to come in and find us then arrest us all. It is actually quite nerveracking when all you can hear is shouting and all you can see is flashlights in your face.

They also do the petrol bomb bit but we don't get to throw them

One of the most frightening things was one year when they took the horses - the walk at you sideways and don't stop - we **** ourselves, threw bricks and ran - like proper chav scum :whistling:

The main guy that does the training is a big bastid - he broke 3 of the shields with a baseball bat one year in the bunker - in the dark too - he is mucking fental - top day out though.

If any guys are interested in this in the future it is always the more the merrier :D

  2. I'm in the market for a sports grille of sorts.

It looks like someone else os in the running for yours though Aido - if not let me know.

Mat - what are you looking for cash wise for the redundant ones in the shed?

Could you please let me know.

    Ta

    PS - Aido - looks good :D

  3. I'm loving that front lip :)

Skirts and rear valance seem to be a bit chunky though.

If you wanted it in the UK now you'd have to put the cats back in (Meow :hehe: ) That's gonna cost a few quid on top of the purchase price.

Then add the SVA test and the registration documents and the time it all takes.

Would be a nice car but a right pain in the arris !

  4. Also - has anyone fitted these themselves?

I have done front springs many a time on Peugeots in the past but the rear's are torsion bars so i've never had rear suspemsion out.

I assume (I haven't actually looked) that the top mounts are accessable from the boot?

Spring compresses, a full workshop and a pit are great things when you have them to hand :D :whistling:

  5. Thanks for that mate - the PI's are tempting too now I have seen that they drop the car a little more. (-35mm as opposed to -30mm)

I don't want it to look too silly though - I am not planning on changing the wheels just yet so don't want tiny 17's buried in the arches - I don't think it would look right.

  6. Mrs Waddy

Tracey for those of you who didn't catch her name :winky:

Mike - I'm glad Tracey and Prisca are both hairdressers - I think they were happy left to their own devices whilst we discussed all things car :whistling:

The only disappointment of the day was the journey back over the top of the peak when Aido managed to find the only weekend gypsies in the whole of Derbyshire :whistling:

  7. A great day had by all I think - good to meet everyone too - faces to names and all that :D

Absolute classic from Damer's little one during lunch - when he went to get condiments she told us that "daddy drinks too much wine" - spot on I say - you gotta love kids :P

Hope you're feeling better this morning mate.

Very impressed with Geoffs setup in the car - I may even lend him mine to play with for a day or two (as long as he doesn't strip it out and leave it on bricks for me :shifty: :winky: )

We have decided that Prisca (Baby Shake) isn't coming again as she showed us all up haveing never played before - barriers down for her next time methinks :shifty:

Enjoyed the Nando's - I had a medium thing but got bored of it and lathered my chips in the hot hot stuff. I shouldn't have done that - it was silly :nuke:

    Anyhoo - piccys :winky:

Geoff - did you manage to get all of the clegnuts off of the reversing camera? :whistling:

I am going to put the reversing camera image in it's own special thread :winky:

  8. Thanks

I didn't quite get the bridge how i wanted it but it is a busy road and it was pitch black ! I was standing one side with the camera and tripod and the car was the other with only the side lights on.

It was hard to get the shots at all as the camera was on a 30 second exposure - i've got about 6 with a bright white stripe right through the middle of a shot where a car came past half way through !

The full size versions look better but they are 8MP images and are the best part of 5meg each

  9. Ahmed - do you have acces to info of where people are located?

Or even better a poll on the forum to gauge where people would prefer the meet to be, i.e. north, east, south or west.

    Then go with the majority?

You've probably thought of all this though and i am being a plank as usual.

    <waddy get's back into the corner> :shutit:
