  1. And just how much negative pressure would it take to implode a TTE air box then, not enough produced by the induction of your engine FACT. The box will mostly be under POSITIVE pressure FACT, you got a S/C connected to it driven by the engine FACT. When you lift off the throttle the charger is still being driven by the engine FACT. Negative pressure is in the manifold after the throttle butterfly when you lift the foot off FACT. BTW the throttle butterfly is between the air box and the manifold FACT. So I stand to be corrected but how exactly did the box get enough negative pressure to make it implode. edit: don't mean that you did not have a bad job done when the video's are up you can see the top of the air box flexing in a concave FACT

Hi Lexlover001 , with regards to the air filter , at one point the air pressure was bending the K&N filter into a "S" shape so i made a fine grid to prevent this , at another point the recirculating air was piped back into the air box which was incerasing the tempreture and then the pipes blew off from the box and it was my sugestion to feed the air into the exhaust pipe . my traction light do'nt work at all so there is no indication as to when the racelogic or factory systems are on . with the racelogic "on" wet setting i managed to spin the car 540 degress which aint funny , so that dont work :tsktsk:

  4. what value the PLC status.............the ISO9001...........the EFI university stuff None its all show, to suck them in, take the cash and run run run :o I hope we have seen the back of him and all his BS.   6. Hi Adie , yes i still have the v-pro , and i did have starting issues , and Tdi removed the warning lights in the dash ! Did they tell you they had removed the ECU warning light ? Thats outrageous Hi Dave , yes they did tell me they had removed the warning light , they said it didnt matter !
  7. Did your fuel gauge still work ? Hi Steviewevie , my fuel gauge dose'nt work , its all over the place , have called the AA twice because she ran out of fuel . i keep 10 liters in a jerry can in the boot now .
  8. Rob its not a THEORY , its FACT ok . What Rob is saying, and I agree, is that the vacuum in the airbox alone would not be enough for it to "implode". For that to happen the box must have been damaged previously. Anyway great figures, it must be an awsome car. Wierd looking power curve when the speed change happens, how does the torque look? Well MacRS200 and Rob the FACT is the tte air box imploded because it was too restrictive , and the box was in perfect condition FACT ok .

  10. Has it always run like this since you got it back from TDI? I remember you being really happy with the performance when you first got it so did something brake or malfunction to make it loose power or has it always had 278.1 flywheel bhp? An IS200 with 365bhp - approx 292bhp at the wheels (assuming 20% transmisson loss) it a major achievement and you should be really proud! :D Hopefully you have many happy miles from now on. Yes it has always ran like this , and i was happy with the alleged performance but not happy about the noise or the fuel consumption .
  11. Now i know why mark and sam wanted me to keep quiet :tsktsk: , it was sam what done the terrible mapping , the first time they gave her back to me she was only doing 11 MPG and sam reckoned that was fine and the mapping good . :tsktsk:

  13. Tdi failed miserabley in trying to keep the Lexusness of my car , the tte box imploded because it was so restictive , the induction kit has made the car a lot less noisy , and yes a TOP JOB by all at SPC Horsham . :D

I shall try and keep this as short as possible , my cars MOT run out a couple of weeks ago so i took her to the same garage that i always use for MOT'S and she failed on emissions , i feel like i'm up the creak without a paddle , what do i do ?, well most of the work of installing the new supercharger at TDI was carried out by wayne , Wayne and Phil who used to work at TDI have left to set up there own garage called SPC Horsham , so because i know how good there work is i gave them a ring , a few days later the car was booked in for a MOT , befor any work was done she was put on the dyno , she has always ran rich , lots of smoke comming from the exhaust when accelerating , and only 220 miles per tank of fuel , i could not belive my eyes when she only made 278.1 HP at the flywheel , gutted dont even come close :tsktsk: , any way it needed to be looked at , so i left my baby with them , befor i picked her up she was sucking in air like it was going out of fashion and in doing so managed to IMPLODE the tte airbox , so Wayne made up a custom induction system with Apexi air filter , nice , back on the rollers Ike Flack was working his magic , very nice , i picked my car up a few days ago and its like a different car , gone is the harsh tickover , gone is the smoke , she is so smooth now , even the gear change is nicer , and she is a lot quieter now , and she passed her MOT :D , and this is the best bit , both befor and after dyno runs are on video and will be on the web very soon , :D , i am now the proud owner of 364.5 HP and 318.3 ft/lb torque , and will NEVER EVER go back to TDI .   19. Just a small update , ive changed the suspension from Eibach springs and Tokico shocks to Cusco Zero 1 coilovers , the car sits a bit more lower now and handles a bit better , the squeeky brake pads have now gone and a set of Blue Print pads from tony at W.I.M. are stopping me now :D
